On C-SPAN a couple of weeks ago, I saw Tom Bethell speak about his book: "The Politically Incorrect Guide to Science" (I think that was the name).
Darn, I only caught about 10 minutes - it was great.
He was speaking about this push for gov funding of stem cell research and what would really happen if it becomes a reality.
He said that what is now being said - that stem cell research (SCR) is the answer to everything - that all the cures they're telling us will come - that it will solve so many problems - It's all bunk.
He's begging people not to let this happen because these groups have no idea what SCR will bring.
He says that once they get their money, they'll turn into frankenscientists and we'll never see cures to our ills, that instead they're going to go off on creation tangents, modification tangents, that they don't give a d*mn about sick people, that they're not thinking in our best interest ...
and then the show was over.
Just think about how much uglier this can get.

Makes you stop and think hey - give em an inch and they'll take a foot.
The Morgellons victims are a perfect example of people dabbling where they shouldn't.
I look it at this way if Morgellons Disease was brought about by nature/bacteria/bug etc. that was detectable in the blood we would be listened to.
But Morgellons Disease leaves a sore taste in ya mouth, there is nothing natural about this condition. Nothing in nature could be this cruel. And that is why they let us continue to suffer, we are their lab rats, moving science and medicine forward all the time, our symptoms seem to intrigue and interest so many people.
This is not a freak show you know, and we are not living in the dark ages, but you would have thought so.

Today's stem cell info from CNN's crawler:
Hybrid stem cells are being (or going to be - not sure) made ... combining animal eggs and human cells. They think this will help in diseases like Alzheimers.
First, do they really believe this combination will help diseases, or let our frankenscientists create freaks?
Second, have they done their "what if's" or will they not budget any money for that part of the operation?
Last - have you seen Michael J. Fox so verbally supporting stem cell research?
Did you hear him say that he hasn't bothered to read any of the details about it - he just supports it - carte blanche, sight unseen?
Surely he has the time and the intelligence to READ IT FIRST!!!
SHAME ON YOU MICHAEL J. FOX.
This is how we get into these messes.

OMG, are you kidding me? Freakin' unbelievable. What's next? I don't even want to go there. I bet God is looking upon what is going on here and just shaking his head in disbelief, I know I sure am. How has the world become so blind? Blind and greedy. Where are peoples souls at, surely they have an inner voice telling them something is not right, they are going down the wrong path, one that will only lead to another and another, bad choices, bad decisions. Bad Science. Dive right in, ask questions later.........meanwhile millions suffer the consequence for their blunders...........Geez YOU are right whiterose, no comment. Well put.

Today on the Research Channel, I saw a seminar about growing human tissue on microchips. I couldn't even stomach it. Had to turn it off.
And Ali, like you, I thought the same thing about ethics and conscience, etc. Until I saw these university-level presentations, I didn't get it. They don't even think about those things at all!!!
They are gloating, excited, like little kids with a new toy. That's all it is to many of them. Some have their heads on straight and try to influence the others, but they're sure in the minority.
These folks are so specialized and they spend all day and maybe all night toying with this stuff just to see what will happen. It's what they dwell on constantly...no ethics involved, apparently.
I wonder what the mouse with the human ear on his back feels like. Do the chimeras feel pain? Do they have emotions? Do they realize what they are or what's being done to them? And are they being washed down the drain to dispose of them? Do they suffer?
These are all questions that everyone should ask, but my dear, we are very much in the minority, so far. Hopefully things will change, as Whiterose's article hints about.
The Icelandic people got so angry over the human genome project that they were to be guinea pig donors in, they shut it down cold. And they didn't even know it was a corporation behind the project - not their govt which they trusted and believed in. And even the doctors there were against the project.
I think folks in other countries are much smarter and/or more educated than we. All we heard here was how excited the Icelanders were about the project, how great it was going to be, and how we should all line up to donate our DNA, too. DNA to patent, buy, sell, and make little creatures from.
They tried it on indigenous tribes in South America, too, and with absolutely no education, those folks figured it out and went to the UN and demanded that it be stopped.
In contrast, we go to the doctor, submit all kinds of fluids and samples and never know what happens to them - where they go. If we give excess urine in a sample, what happens to it? Is it shipped to the research and development department for cloning experiments or something? Will we be walking down the street and run into our identical twin?
Sending M's samples to folks we don't know is really serious, at least in my opinion. Dr. Hildy is the only one I'm trusting right now. Even just for regular testing at the doctor's office - I think we should demand a chain of custody statement that shows where these precious samples are going, who will have them, what will be done with them and how they will be disposed of, etc. It's getting really, really important to know these kinds of things and try to keep some control - or at least knowledge - of it all..

I didn't post this link before, but I think it's time. Before anyone clicks on it, know that this is an art project set up by a student. IT IS NOT REAL. But it sure gets you to think about what's around the next corner. OK. Here's the link. Again, IT IS NOT A REAL COMPANY. Here ya go. www.genpets.com/index.php
