Consider what this anthropologist said:
If every ant on the planet died, the planet would die within 5 years.
If every human on the planet died, the planet would be thriving in 5 years.
To me, a stunning comment. I guess we're not so important after all.

Due to weather, we've had ants invading the house. I was washing a dog bowl out when 3 ants fell into the sink. I proceeded to wash them down the drain when I saw them group together and hang onto each other.
Together, they had more weight and were harder to wash away. It sort of reminded me of us, a collective group braving the tide.
Good show.

Hey, Thinker.....you talking about the ants reminded me of something, a really good ant rid. A few years back we had an absolute invasion of ants...they got into everything, so annoying. One day I was cleaning out the pantry...no ants there for some unknown reason...until...I discovered the reason.
There was a half empty plastic squeeze pack of some maple syrup at the very back. Must have been there for several years. You know the type that you screw to open the nozzle, turn upside down and bingo...the syrup drains out? It wasn't real maple syrup from the tree, just the sugar based imitation stuff.
I did a bit of a doubletake when I lifted it out because it was completely black inside and when I took a closer look, I discovered it was almost full of dead ants. Someone had used the syrup and put it back into the pantry with the nozzle left half open, so that the ants could get in but got stuck in the syrup and couldn't get out and were basically preserved in the syrup.
So, now I have a cheap bottle of this stuff on hand(empty half of it out first) and no ant problem.

Re what the anthropologist said......Well, we were "the Keepers of the Garden" and stuffed it up, so we can't really blame the plants for having revenge if they want, can we? Or is it a case of 9/11??

Today I looked at the kitchen floor to see a kibble of dog food moving by itself, rather rapidly and with apparent purpose and direction. Of course, it was our inspirational friend, the ant.. Just one ant, on a mission, moving relative size and weight that is impossible for other species.
We too, will move size and weight,, truth and healing, a load that sometimes seems more than we can bear - but we WILL move it out of the murky, polluted waters of disinformation and into full, brilliant sunlight.
