Hi,
i have had a skin condition for about ten years. Over the last three years I have gone from fit and healthy to someone who cannot use her hands properly, pain in my legs and numbness in hands arms, feet and legs. I could hardly put my own socks on today. I had skin lesions all over my body...they then seemed to turn into boil type lumps on my bum legs chest neck and finally to my face...I waited for three years to get to see a dermatoligist and at the time of my appointment with her had developed a cluster of painful lumps that made my face swell to four times its size....the dreaded pin prick on my cheek seemed to be the start....I had been aware of hair like things coming out of the earlier ones on my body and had relaid this to the dermatologist. Even asked if there was a condition where the light downy fluffy hairs covering the entire body could become infected. She didnt even answer that question. Came back in with older doctor where the proceeded to tell me am doing myself and down to stress....
I then went away and over next 7 months my face became infected like before. I was prescribed antibiotics and the swelling would go down but the lumps could still be felt under the skin and seemed to be moving towards the corner of my mouth. I rang the hospital and was told that it was just healing and the lumps would go.
This cycle has happened 4 times now and it is now in the corner of my mouth and sores, ulcers and abcesses come up regularly on the inside of my mouth where lumps are.I still have the hard lump in the corner of my mouth and where the lumps were previously seems to have left a hole....a dent in my face.
I have also developed anxiety, depression and suicidal tendencies over the last 18 months, my teeth are black and falling out, my vision is blurred most of the time, I have dry eyes, gritty even. I am exhausted and sore all the time. I woke in the night last week to excruciating pain in my intestines...felt blocked and felt like couldnt go. I was dripping with sweat and even after having 3 children have never felt pain like it. Next thing it was like the blockage cleared and everything came out and the pain went away.
I have low iron and Vit D
Memory has got worse and worse getting really bad now and I simply dont remember anything....conversations etc
Am on anti histemines daily and this stops the itching but my skin still comes up.
Short of breath and sometimes feels heavy on my chest.
Sores on my nose are now starting to develop
Sun sensitivity..get blistery rash all over if stay in sun that turns to sores and takes months to go....get fever...fatique with this
I managed to eventually get some picture of the fibres or hairs that eventuall come out but the last lump has now gone to corner of my mouth and inside though my lip to my gums...
I am now waiting to be referred to a different derm but this will take months and months and I really think im going to be bed ridden by then....
