Hi Group! I just registered after reading many comments on your blog forum. I have Morgellons x 10 months, with many exacerbating symptoms of late, and have been looking for a group that had a lot of members and that covers a lot of areas regarding this dreadful condition. I was just now particularly interested in some information posted by Cliff Mickelson re: 5-19-06 "What We Do And Don't Know About The 'Fiber' Disease". Lately I have been more comfortable subscribing to the theory, constant in Jeremy Humphree's videos, that says this condition is bacterial, spirochete form consistent with Lyme Disease called Borellis, and the crap coming out of my skin is just my body's reaction to the invader. He says that the fibers, clear gunk and crystal pieces that feel like glass are all produced by my own body. I have gone every which way with my beliefs about the 'terrorists', and this last one was the one I was most comfortable with, since it supposedly comes from MY OWN BODY! However, most reluctantly, while reading Cliff's post about a 'nematode-like life form', who's role is central to the affliction. I have been persuaded, though I do believe that the Borrelis is a common connection also? I have thought for a long time, after observing scabs, bubbles on my skin, a dime-sized wart looking thing suddenly appearing on my back (a mole, so my dermatologist says but I knew different), after noticing my pee looks not like typical 'bubbles' that quickly pop---no! It's eggs or larvae or something else, poop looks weird and my blood just doesn't look right when it dries with a dark ring around it. The scabs look like there are dark worms in them, I have bubbled skin on my arms which looks just like he describes the "old, leathery looking skin". Now I see that those are the monster. My skin hasn't looked right for months. I didn't even recognize my face in the mirror and the skin on my face with a chin that is covered in what looks like blackheads. And the skin on my cheeks is nearly hard! 3 weeks ago I went through a period of my face being absolutely on fire, red and swollen. The only relief I could get was to put a cold bean bag on it or go outside in the frigid air. I noticed brown specs all over my shoulders and back last summer when this was just revving up, which I told my doctor that something was wrong and that wasn't my skin! She said, "It's freckles." I said I don't get freckles much, and certainly not like that mess. (She referred me to mental health, by the way, just have 3 other doctors.) Anyway, many more symptoms, but after reading Cliff's post, I just stared out the window for a while. It's easy to accept the theory that this is just the bacteria, no worms. But nearly every single piece of anything that was attached to my skin, and there have been lots I have picked off because I don't care WHAT it is, I want it off, have worm-like things in them. I saw everything much clearer after getting a hand held microscope a while back. I also, which is sometimes much more revealing, take pictures of the area as close up as it will focus, and then zoom way in. I also edit the light, etc., which reveals even more. I now have a UV blacklight flashlight which has enlightened me even more--showing me how many hundreds of critters are really coming out of me in the way of fluorescent hot blue and pink fibers. Invisible to the naked eye. It makes me sick to go with this theory of nematodes, but it makes a lot more sense because if not worms, then what? Jeremy doesn't mention that. Nor does he explain the THOUSANDS and thousands of 'fiber balls' on all my clothing, sweaters, leggins clean and put away last summer--no lint! They are all over my house. I sure would like to know what that's about. I'm sure it is connected, but if not free-moving, then how do they get on the bottom of the pile of clothes in a drawer? It has ruined most of my sweaters, attacks my shoes, boots, sheets, blankets, just anything made of material. My little dog also has had a ruptured lesion, which I kept clean and it healed, but he now has another one coming. He seems lethargic and not much appetite. I know I must get him to the vet, but how is the vet going to believe me when my own doctor I'v had for many years doesn't? I know I have rambled and not kept my thoughts organized here, but I am really happy to find you! Thank you.
