The Zyprexa story Pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly (makers of Prozac) have agreed to pay upwards of 1.2 billion US dollars to nearly 30,000 patients who claim their bestseller antipsychotic medication, Zyprexa (Olanzapine) has resulted in diabetes, weight gain and other complications and that these risks were downplayed. Secret documents are leaked, the newspaper headlines start screaming, and citizen journalists spread the word - but where is the real advocacy for better drugs with fewer side effects? www.abc.net.au/rn/allinthemind/stories/2007/1860792.htm

Yes, this is sad.
I have four sisters and no brothers and two of my sisters are on these type of drugs. (Among others)
They seem to think that the doctors are some kind of Gods, which WE know is not the truth !

Wow, you have to believe that ALL of these drugs are bad. In fact, I think that ANYTHING that is not natural, is bad !

sarahconner and john, Zyprexa is a very very dangerous drug that does actually alter your brain chemistry. A genius of a psychiatrist named Abram Hoffer from Saskatchewan who later moved to BC developed a completely natural treatment for schizophrenia that works. I know someone who started it a few years ago that has been helped. He was harmed by Zyprexa. Dr. Hoffer uses massive dosed of Niacin, fish oils, vitamin c and Bcomplex. I really wish more people knew about this treatment as it really works. He is retired now but you can find his books and articles online.
