I've had morgellans over a year and just had 2mths sober.I thought if i got sober that would help.It has but some days i have morgie attacks and wanna give up so I'm reaching out instead.I feel like a walking sci fi with no one to talk to who can relate. Its gotten better but have alot of questions and some of my own home remedies that have helped. I wanna stay sober but need a support system for morgellans.

Hi lady9999, Dont give up your soberity, yes the morgies usually give you he-- intensely for a couple hours a day, mine are eve. at about 6 pm to 8. I noticed that all my nerves were responding, to the gathering of the critters. If you have stacked up leisons, or deep ones they litterly drive you wild. You are a walking syfy, to others that dont have this disease. Get sober in groups, share with your sponser, but to others you dont need the rejection that will be melted out to you. Read these wonderful archives of others that have gone on before you. They have flown the coupe because they are better, but they have left their tears, sorrows, and victorys. You will see that you need, each and everyone of these valiant heros. Take care keep posting, God Bless amron

Thank you so much..I usually have the morgie attacks at night! Balls of white dancing hairs from my hair. Not even sure if my hair is real hair any more.So it is common for them to kind of got to sleep then and wake up.I had lesions on my belly button my ear and a scar on my head were I first broke out.My Dad listens to me but he still thinks it because of drugs and alcohol.I don't think he wants it to be true.Last night I was having a really hard time and cryed because I felt like giving up and wished I was drunk so I could'nt feel the biting and see the dancing hairs. Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone. Are there things you do or use to help?

Hi ladys9999
I understand your feelings. This condition doesn't represent good motivation for sobering up, that's for sure.
Still Amron's advise is excellent advise. If you concentrate your efforts on actively learning to cope with Morgellons, this may actually also help you overcome the drug problem.
May be you are not used to surfing around on this board, but let me primarily point you to the section called "Forum statistics" (on the bottom of the page) where you will find "View the 30 most recent posts of this forum". See if you find something of value there, and then progress to the General section of the board, for example the headline "Symptoms and remedies discussion".
Personally I have more or less given up on figuring out what Morgellons is. I find it more productive to spend my energy on limiting its effects. People around you are also more inclined to help if they are not continuously confronted with something they don't understand (either).
Consequently it does not really matter if your dad (or anybody else) thinks that the cause of this is drugs and alcohol. The important thing is that he cares and wants to help you restore yourself and your health - so let fighting drugs and fighting the symptoms/effects of Morgellons go hand in hand.
