I am new to this site and I am not sure that it is still active. Most of the threads on here are not recent. I have a 21 year old daughter who has been suffering for about a year now with some kind of thread-like parasite. We spoke to an infectious disease dr. at USC and he thought she was delusional. These things look very much like what Cliff had described as the cotton parasites. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

bobbie - First, your daughter is very lucky to have a supportive and believing parent. It is all too rare with those of us afflicted. Second, your daughter is NOT delusional. Go to Morgellons.org and to www.healthsciences.okstate.edu/morgellons/index.cfm (which, unfortunately, is very much in need of an update). There are nearly 15,000 families registered as having this horrible malady - FAR too many to be "delusional". If you or your daughter need someone to talk to, send me a personal message on this board with your phone number and I will call you. Don't despair. There are approaches that can dramatically reduce the amount and severity of her symptoms. Kind regards, Sunnydaze
