Project of Review & Comparison of MRI SCANS in Morgellons Patients
Hello to Everyone,
I wish to thank all of you that have responded to this project. I do apologize for my delay. I have been dealing with a real, honest to goodness cold for almost 3 weeks. This is my very first in several years. I have observed that morgies do not seem to get colds, flu, etc. so I have enjoyed every miserable minute. However, it has put me behind in things I need to do.
I am putting this message on the forum since some responded either directly on the threads or in PM messages. I am not able to reach those who did this. If you have gotten this message in your personal email, then no need to respond again. However, If you did not and want to be part of this, sent me an email at sunnyand7777@yahoo.com. Put in the subject line--MRI Project.
I will be contacting everyone, individually, very soon via email to provide specific details about this project. I hope that everyone understood that this is for patients that have had MRI Scans in the past. A few have misunderstood and thought that we were going to arrange for the scans to be done. I wish this were possible, but it is not.
If you responded with other types of scans, CT as an example, I will contact you as well. At this point, I am unsure how they will fit, but all data is important.
Let me assure you that everyone's information obtained in this project will be confidential as required by HIPAA.
If you have not given me your basic information, please email it to me. Include:
• name, address, phone #, date of birth
•please give a phone # and time to best call you. I will be doing the calls as f/u on information received.
• approx. date noted Morgellons symptoms began, (your best guess)--
•date of scan or scans,
• type of scan (CT-SCAN, MRI,etc; w-wo contrast?)
•area of body scan done on
• facility scan done with address/phone # & Fax # if possible,
•reason done, & results you were told.
You do not have to get the actual scans; that is the next step. I will be providing the Dr's address to have them sent, hopefully from the facility where the testing was done. So, do not worry if you don't have them.
If you have questions, please feel free to contact me via email. I will be glad to call you (or send you my number) so we can talk via the phone.
This is a great opportunity for us and all "morgies" everywhere. I cannot thank you enough for everyone volunteering & wanting to be part of this.
Sincerely,
Gwen "Sunny" Simmons, RN
