Dear RM Agents and Readers,
I was kindly just sent this article from Cliff Michelson. If you wish to see the full article please go to the link above; below I will be posting partial takes as not to infringe upon the writer of said article.
Dr. Micheal Cappello said:
Patients complain of itching and scratching sensations. They get wrapped up in the belief that there is something beneath their skin—an infectious agent, such as a parasitic worm—that can be extracted. They often try to pull that something out of their skin, which creates open sores. Patients will say, "I scratched and I pulled this living thing out of my skin."
--------------------------------------------------------------
My Reply:
It doesn't say where Micheal Cappello comes to these decisions--there is no note of persons that he has treated, nor is there any scientific evidence that he presents; only if it were a book related condition than it would have this book related evidence.
Clearly he is a well boxed trained individual; these folks are a dime a dozen these days.
Perhaps he read a post on a Morgellons board and came to this enlightened decision--guess he didn't read my information. My face looked like hamburger--the sores came from the inside out. Can you imagine what it feels like to have hot glass/crystals come from inside out.
There are different types of Morgellons--some speak of bugs, worms and the like; personally I thought mine to be a histamine response. Here is a link to an article discussing just that in Gulf War Victims as well as those with MS, Crohn's, fibromyalgia, etc.

Let's see what else he has to put forth--
-------------------------------------------------
How do the patients describe these living things they believe are beneath their skin?
Dr. Micheal Cappello said:
Often they describe them as tiny fibers. [According to the MRF, the fibers or "filaments" are "near microscopic" and may be white, blue, red or black. In addition to the filaments, there may also be black or white sandlike granules on or in the skin.].
-------------------------------------------------------------
My Reply:
This is interesting--I've never heard of black granules--sand like granules --yes, black pepper type flakes that are often seen in the bed in the morning --yes. Maybe he has his facts confused---
----------------------------------------------------------------
Have you seen any evidence of these organisms?
Dr. Micheal Cappello said:
Individuals and their physicians have sent me pictures of these filaments and skin samples purportedly containing them, but I have never found evidence of any parasites. Looking under the microscope, the samples look like amorphous skin, like a skin sample from a normal person might look. Some contain hair follicles. And apart from my personal experience, I am not aware of any evidence in the scientific literature suggesting that these patients have infectious agents crawling under their skin.
--------------------------------------------------------------
My Reply:
This is also a bit confusing--is he looking at photographs under a microscope? And what does it mean--apart from my personal experience--does this suggest that he has seen it in his personal experience and it just isn't in the literature so it doesn't exist? This could obviously be the writer's fault--
Yet,it does appear that he is simply stating knowledge as per literature not per true--up close and personal examination.
---------------------------------------------------------
If there are no parasites, what else could cause the sores—some kind of skin disease?
Dr. Micheal Cappello said:
To my knowledge, there is no consistent feature of these skin lesions that have been linked to a dermatological diagnosis. They are self-inflicted.
--------------------------------------------------------
My Reply: Arrogance beyond belief--those folks that suggest people in a society that are so focused on how one looks could cause mutilation to oneself are indeed in need of couseling themselves. Where have the men and women of true science gone? May I suggest he researches Rustum Roy--here is his website:
www.rustumroy.com/
When the truth does appear in the public realm--those that have suggested such things should be looked at with the same disbelief that they have put upon those dealing with this condition; perhaps it is their mirror reflection that they put upon those with this condition known as Morgellons--it is very difficult for me to understand a mentality with such a closed mind.
The next link is from the New Morgellons Order--someone that did their research on DOP and confirmed why this diagnosis is no longer applicable:

-----------------------------------------------------------
So what is wrong with these patients?
Dr. Micheal Cappello said:
They are clearing suffering. My interpretation is that the symptoms are most consistent with a psychiatric condition.
-------------------------------------------------------
My Reply:
It would be interesting to note if a Fourier transform Raman spectroscopy (FT-Raman) was used in any of his research? It is also important to point out that this man calls himself an infectious disease specialist; considering the times we are living in--I find this very concerning. Is this the types of physicians we can expect from Yale? Spooky!
It is apparent to anyone that reads Rumormill frequently that many new virus's are appearing--how are these type of "so-called" professionals going to handle the world that isn't in the book?
It isn't in the book--hundreds just died--where is the Psychiatrist when you need them?
Many Blessings,
CrystalRiver
