I heard someone on Coast to Coast AM the other night say they were in a CDC sponsored program out in California I believe and is well now. She also claimed they told her she got it from a bird bite. Her pet bird bit her and then she got the skin lesions. Now I got bit by a pet bird back in 1999. I did not get my first breakout until 2001-2002. Maybe it is a mutated type of bird mite? I dunno though. It sounds kinda offbeat to me. How many other of you fellow sufferers got bit by a bird or handled a pet or wild bird...dead or alive previous to becoming symptomatic? The lady did not elaborate on how they treated her except to say she followed infectious disease protocols. I believe it was Wednesday's or Thursday's night show during open lines. They are supposed to be doing a whole show dedicated to this disease in the near future.

Interesting I always heard the CDC doesn't treat anything-- Not their Job---
I'm not saying you didn't hear it I'm just questioning the legitimacy of the woman who stated this.
If it is a mutated type of bird mite--someone behind the curtain mutated it. IMO
