How many other people are in your household? Do any show signs of this? How many are unaffected? Do you all do your laundry in the same machine, share the same utilities, etc? I am very nervous about sharing a living situation with anyone else, either with it or without it. Will I get worse sharing living quarters with someone who has Morgellons and doesn't have scrupulously clean habits? Will I infect others just living in the same house, using the same refrigerator, remote control, laundering, etc? I will soon have to make a decision about this and would love to hear what others have experienced. anewday

Been doing this for the last 9 months i.e. sharing - different locations. It is very difficult. All I would say is that from your own perspective in a share situation, the most important factor I have found which makes it all a lot easier is to ensure you have your own bathroom or ensuite - sharing bathrooms is the worst of all - the rest is ok. Dont know about you but I know I spend much more time in the bathroom these days than prior to the big M.
No I don't wash my clothes/towels etc with anyone else' - I wash mine separately. I also cook separately - except on occasions when a shared meal may be the go.
Nobody in any house I have shared or anyone in my immediate family has shown any signs whatsoever of this problem. That is why I don't believe we infect others if it is dealt with as each of us does on a daily basis. Only my opinion but it would seem to me that the "infectious" period is at the beginning when all sorts of things seem to be there - sometimes lice as well etc causing confusion. Later on, even though we are all left to deal with this ourselves, fact is - we do and we all do it well. We are "aware" and it does not appear, in my case anyway, that at this time others are infected.
Think there is more chance of us being reinfected on a daily basis from others (or the environment), than the other way around. I deal with that on a daily basis when sharing by just accepting it as a fact of life and just continue to do as I normally do on a daily basis to deal with the problem. Have had to accept the fact that when sharing, others may not have the high standards of hygiene as my own, not that theirs are below par - just not so much attention to detail. You can only control your own space in these situations and contribute to the cleaning side - probably a bit more than others but warning - don't overdo this cleaning side or those around you will see it as a "phobea" you have and will cause unrest.
I now deliberately put myself amongst others and in the environment - whereas before was always wary of reinfection. Why? probably because I know it's everywhere, that we are infact, the lucky ones who are aware of the problem and deal with it and I want to build immunity and that's not possible living in a glass bubble constantly in fear of where I might get the next infection from. Maybe that's not for everyone but it's how I deal with it - I don't even allow a house not up to my standards on the cleaning front get to me anymore and even though I have a process I use daily I no longer allow it to take all my time and mind and endeavour to live as normally as possible.
Hope this helps - best of luck. I will have to be on the move yet again very soon.

Yes, I live in a multiple person household and YES we all have this affliction. I personally am beginning to feel and treat this as if it were ALSO a BAD ringworm infection. It seems to start with a bite from some kind of insect, lice, flea, midge, spider, who knows. Then comes the worm of some variety my bets are on hookworm/fluke combo. Then comes what acts like a fungal ringworm infection which envelops every hair on a persons body and head. We all use neem shampoo and do not share towels. Anti-bacterial wet wipes are used after anyone used the restroom, remote controls, door knobs, etc. I wash towels separately from clothes and soak in all fabric bleach or amonia (not together bleach & amonia are toxic together). Clothes are washed in amonia. It doesn't rule my life anymore cleaning wise but I am aware that hair can become very infected by certain varieties of ringworm. Good luck. Below is a link to ringworm infected cat hairs: tinyurl.com/5z97yjThis could be why downunder's "azole" medicine works. Kills both helminths and fungus. ;D tinyurl.com/65h6hkMeredith

Nobody I shared with as above has had this - then or later. I was the only one but I didn't talk about it. I would know now if they had been affected later as they are all family members.
Re ringworm - you know I looked into this too and it has certainly crossed my mind as it can affect every area of the body and the scalp. It's just that some of the other stuff doesnt fit. Agree an insect is also involved and I am highly suspicious of the fruit fly and especially the fungus gnat as they are always there even at times of the year when they shouldn't be but there is another insect as well.
In the washing I use Canneston antibacterial/anti fungal hygiene rinse and add a few drops of tea tree or eucalyptus. I have used the neem oil too - works well but haven't had it for awhile.

please tell me how u healed , im happy for u i need help please please please tell me what helped thanks dawn Hi, Depressed. I am not "healed" yet. I do have faith that I will be, though. I am under Dr. Hildy's care. She has helped me so very much. I think she understands this better than anyone else does. I was much better when I started her treatment, but some new and very disturbing symptoms began that frightened me, so I decided to give her a call, and I began her treatment in July, 2008. I am so glad I did. I feel near normal, except I still have some issues with my hair and one leg. I am so sorry to hear about your daughter. It helps to stay on a whole food diet, organic if possible. I used a lot of Diatamaceuos earth, garlic, MSM, Vitamin C, enzyme spray, tea tree oil, oil of oregano, olive leaf, Mineral Rich, MSM lotion, MSM soap, and Hyssop Cleanse before I began Dr. Hildy"s treatment. There are many other treatment that will hep too, like the Epsom's Salt baths/soaks. Read the remedies section for what has helped others. What works for one does not always work for everyone. You may need to try a number of treatments to see what works for you. Prayer really is very important, also. Good Luck, Dear. I wish you and your family the best. Your friend, shubot.

Don't give up. keep trying what you can. Soaking in a tub with baking soda in the water, or sprinkling it on my wash cloth when I showred helped me. I Put a couple of drops of tea tree oil in my liquid soap, this really helped with demodex mites. When I first got sick with this, I had tons of tiny white things poping out of my face all the time, and eyes and nose itched in cycles. I never see anything pop out of my face now.

HI, depressed. I have heard of people bathing with bleach in their bath water in desperation for relief of the symptoms, but I do not recommend it. I never did it. Bleach is very toxic and can cause harm. We need to work on getting toxins out of our bodies and avoid putting more in.
I recommend cleansing your body with good fresh whole food, organic if possible. Avoid sweet sugary foods and processed foods. I used Baking Soda, vinegar, or Epsom's Salt to soak in. That really helps because morgs hate sodium.

Shubot is correct about going natural---
one other thing --you have to focus on the positive and relax--I know how hard it is--yet when you are upset and stressed you are feeding the morgs--they love it.
Feed yourself with positive thoughts, emotions, movies, books-- turn it around. You have to address everything that makes you human, body, heart, mind and soul. Lift them up!
I can't recall how long you have had this--there is a point in the begining where it is difficult to get out of the darkness of it--it takes work, belief in the positive. Find one good thing in your life and focus on it--if not in yourself at the moment. A flower outside--there must be something you love.
Don't let it control you; because that is what it is doing--deep breathing, yoga, meditation (sometimes hard to settle mind but work at it, prayer. Pick one spot in the room and focus on it--ignore the morgs ( I know how hard it is)--remember what you were like before--think of yourself in a better light than that. Keep doing it--it is the repetion that changes things.
Big Hug, CR

Hi, Dawn.
I am so sorry you are having such a hard time. I know how unbearable it can be at times. I pray God will send you healing and comfort.
Remember these things replicate in your GI tract so you need to eat whole foods, some raw vegetables and fruits with enough fiber to keep things moving out before they can multiply too fast inside your body. I have found drinking tea with a little clove powder sprinkled in it helps too, to slow them down.
The white things you spoke of may be the eggs or larvae. The salt like things that come out seem to be some type of crystal. Under the microscope, they usually have a black spot in the crystal, these may be eggs also, or just a part of the toxin itself coming out, I am not 100% positive what they are.

I and my children are now completely free of this nightmare. It took years to get rid of it. I know what you are going through. I thought this would kill us. I got rid of it. Not by chemicales but by just......moving around and never keeping the same clothes or beds or furniture or cars for very long. My hair fell out. I still have just a little left on my legs. I have scars and ptd. From the battle. But i won. I am terrfied of being reinfected. My lips were horrible.

"depressed" Just say you are going to beat this thing..The worst you can do is let it take control of your emotions. We are all so much better than this horrible disease/affiltion.
It may be hard to overcome, but it is not impossile... There is still life with morgellons and you can compensate for the emotional affects of this...It just take time and effort to bceome functional again.
Don't give up on things bceause the affiction is causing problems or embassment. just don't be a "victim" and stand up to those who don't "undestand" It isn't their fault that they can't grasp what morgellons afficted go through... Just forgive them for thier misundertanding of the situation.
If it help to - move toward a compromise with the disease. You may not get your old self back, but if you focus things will improve in time. you just have to "fight the good fight"
If you believe in prayer that might be a way to go too... Prayer is powerful. You could compare morgellons to a demon or other negative entity. It just needs to be put in it's place. Show it you can take back control.
