Hello:
My name is Eric Metcalf; I'm a health writer who regularly does pieces for a weekly medical program that's broadcast on NPR throughout Indiana. I'm working on a story about Morgellons, and I've interviewed several nationally known Morgellons advocates, but I need to talk to a "real person" with the condition.
I'm not trying to prove or disprove the existence of Morgellons in the story. I'm just interested in the curious situation that's arisen, in which thousands of people across the country claim to have a disease, but the medical establishment is largely dismissive of it. What happens when these two interests bump up against each other? What happens next? It would be nice to get some personal perspective on what this disease is really like from someone who has it.
If anyone is interested in sharing his or her Morgellons story, I would like to do an interview by phone and hear about your experience.
Feel free to contact me at ericmetcalf@hotmail.com if you're interested.
Thanks,
Eric

Mr. Metcalf's bio: journalism.missouri.edu/alumni/eric-metcalf-94.htmlThey don't want to discuss what morgellons is. They wish only to discuss that the doctors say it is not real and we say it is. I said what of the research? Have you looked into any of that, he said it wasn't pertinent to his topic. I suppose I should have mentioned to him that the CDC has taken DOP off the list. I did mention that the doctor involved in my first case blamed the government. He said, He said that? I also mentioned Dr. Hildegarde Staninger's work. His answer not pertinent, go figure. Perhaps I should have also mentioned Dave Larsons material under alter theories ---NIH/DOD. They want to make us look bad, that is my take. wr
