THIS THREAD CORRESPONDS TO THE HERBAL BEAUTY THREAD DID YOU KNOW THAT..... olive oil is best for normal to dry skin Coconut oil is best for normal to dry skin Grapeseed is best for normal to oily skin Jojoba oil is best for most skin types and especially for dry, damaged and mature skin Almond or canola oil is best for normal skin please keep this in mind when you are making your lotions and potions....

DID YOU KNOW THAT HERBS CAN BE USED FOR ALL SKIN TYPES IN STEAMS. YET SOME HERBS HAVE A SPECIAL AFFINITY FOR CERTAIN SKIN TYPES, AND CAN ACCORDINGLY ADDRESS PARTICULAR SKIN CARE NEEDS
Some examples of herbs and their steaming virtues.... Chamomile is used for irritated skin Mint is used for tired and dull skin (peppermint, spearmint, black mint) Sage for oily skin Thyme for oily and ruptured skin Oregano for oily and ruptured skin Fennel for dry and mature skin Lemon/Citrus for oily skin Locorice for dry skin Spicy tea blends for cold and oily skin

DID YOU KNOW THAT....... Avocado oil is an exellent oil for dry damaged skin Cocoa Butter is highly protective because it stays on the surface of the skin which prevents dehydration Coconut oil has a cooling property and is wonderful hair conditioner Flaxseed Oil has a high concentration of your omega 3 essential fatty acids. Excellent in lotions and potions, but keep refridgerated! Peanut Oil penetrates the skin easily, good for dry, malnourished skin. Sesame Oil contains natural antioxidants, has natural sunscreen properties and is warm and drying. Used widely for poor circulation and nervous skin problems, also a kick butt hair conditioner! Shea Butter is extremely theraputic in helping to heal cracked, aged, or drying skin. Contains some ultraviolet protection, around SPF-6. It penetrates the skin pretty easily and is good to help heal brusing and soreness. Wheat Germ Oil contains significant amounts of vit E, so good for your skin

grapefruit might be helpful to us Morgellons sufferers It is a aniviral, antifungal, and antibacterial!!!!!!!!! It also helps aid in depression..... When I first came here Ohappyday said to me and I quote "Oh God! How do you deal with this? ?? My answer to her was aromatherapy. I am prone to the citrus smells like grapefruit and tangerine and such. I have several bottles of these essential oils in different places in my home and car. They are my herbal tranquilizers if you will I am moving from my home here shortly, and while going through my boxes of lotions and potions I came across some grapefruit lotion. I decided (what the heck) so I put some on my hands and face. It can't hurt. I'll tell you I just love these darn citrus smells, they are so uplifting. And if Ohappyday would just give me her address like she said she would, (you brat) I would send her some of my crap! She is an awful woman that Ohappyday (grin) Anyway all you out there in the land of the lost....if you have any grapefruit essential oil, you can put a few drops in your favorite lotion or cream.
