I read somewhere that the organism does not like salt. So after cleaning out a few of the lesions, I placed a piece of rock salt, and then bandaided over. Yes, it hurts like heck. But only accutely for a while then it subsides a bit. I have been doing this for a day now. I take them off only for bathing; then reaply. I have acctually seen the worms try to escape the initial application of the salt...then I press the rock salt in (wince) and cover up. I am hoping this will close come of my persistent open lesions. Any comments / suggestions / experiences??? Please, this affliction is devistating my life. Thank You.

Hi,
I tried the Vitamin C and Sea Salt and it did seem to work for a few days.
But then they came back, and it doesn't seem to help anymore :-(

John, I use salt with a small amount of water. I use a cue tip and put it right on the lesions, even open ones, it only stings a bit. I also put it on my face. This is working better for me than anything else topical. I can't force myself to drink salt water, so this works for me. Just remember to wipe the dry salt off your face before you go out.

Yes speaking of the face, I have found that Noxzema works well at killing the itches in my eyebrows. (at least for 20 minutes or so :-( )
But someone said here (like you just did :-) ) to clean that white stuff off before you go out :-)

Yes, the salt water. I have actually forced myself to drink Sea Salt Water. I put just a teasthingy into a glass of water. It's actually not that bad. It really tastes like sea water. Like when I almost drowned as a child on the New England shoreline, and I was sure I was going to to die, and a I was drifting out to sea on my little surfboard. I saw God, or someone like her. And she saved me :-) I amazingly made it back to shore alive (with NO help), and here I am :-) Sometimes I really miss that little boy. Where is he ?

Salt is to avoid if suffering of high blood pressure. Liquids are keep in the organism. Kidneys contract and muscles tighten. So be carefull.
Sea fauna is reported to suffer this affliction too: more to undestand.
Sodium Bicabornate could be a valid and safe alternative to sodium cloride.

Please be careful taking that much salt. Vitamin C is not stored in the body. That much will just go right thru into urine anyway. Good Luck
