Slugs?

Hi all,
Earlier this morning my wife was washing her hands with antibiotic hand wash, and a slug-like thing fell into the sink - about 2cm wide by 7cm.
I immediately plated it on a slide and looked at it. Sure was an ugly-looking sucker covered with protruding hairs. Toward its slim end, three other tiny 'bugs' were clearly inside (like the nasties that bite us).
We went out to get supplies for two hours. To my amazement, the slug thingy has disappeared off the slide (I thought it was dead).
Has anyone else seen these slug-like things?

A sidenote:
Many years ago (early seventies), I drove handicapped persons to medical appointments. Many had MS (Multiple Sclerosis). At that time, MS research focused on finding where it occurred and what it did. As many of you may already know, MS attacked the mylein sheath of nerves.
Fast forward a few more years to yet another mysterious disease - Alzheimer's that fatally attacks the brain.
After reading some of Cliff's articles and few others, I cannot help but wonder at the progression and tentative links between these two mysterious diseases, and Morgellons.
Morgellons seems to be the next generation attack on the brain via the nervous system, and has successfully bypassed the auto-immune system. It's scary to read that many suffer from seizures. I know how deadly they can become if not treated.
I'll continue to read more . . .

Hi aligator,
I read about them, but had a totally different understanding after a re-read.
We live on a farm and have three horses.
It actually looked like a small caterpillar-slug. And I didn't have much time to examine it before I left.
Oh well, probably some more will appear . . .

Hi everyone, Found the source of the slug - romaine lettuce - glad it was only that! I'm amazed how much more attuned (read: perhaps nervous) we have become with regard to our bodies and environment. That might be a hidden blessing. Anyway, sorry about passing on my anxiety Regards, booniesboy

Hi Steve,
Since writing my 'apology' for a false alarm, I found different . . . I have no words to describe it.
It sort of looks like a slug, but the shape is weird. It has a fat end (4cm) that narrows to what I believe is it's mouth-end (1cm) - its length is 6cm. When I pulled it off, it curled up in an 'S' shape.
Under a normal magnifying glass, it looks like it the 'mouth' has 'pincers'.
I put it under the microscope, but it is denser (as in not translucent, but khaki-colored - lol - a bug in army fatigues!) than all of thingies I've looked at so far. It has translucent (no color) tentacles or tubes, and it was attached to my wife's night-dress.

I'm quite sure that a number of people up here have Morgellons. One person shares the same 'chronic bronchitis' that I suffered from since January. It suddenly cleared up in May (as hers did). her face suddenly has broken out with what appears to be acne - she's at least 62 and not an outdoor person.
Sadly, from what I've read in the stats section - back in January over 8000 families are registered, but only a few seem to come forward. Your wife's reaction has been duplicated twice today that I am aware of.
One thing - I've noticed that I flare up over the silliest things lately - stuff I would've shrugged off back in January. Thank Our Good Lord that I love my wife, and we can forgive each others outbursts fairly easily.
I'm still gathering info to get the big picture and an 'action plan' for treatment. Man, this thing is big!
I'm just a little nobody living in the hub of the middle of nowhere. Thank God that I know that my Savior lives and that He loves me and you. It makes whatever is 'coming-down-the-tubes' easier to bear.
Blessings, booniesboy
