Hi Ruth:
I believe Randy is currently using several different labs. He has an arrangement with the Tulsa Crime lab but that is a personal arrangement and access to it is not open to the general public.
Randy's lab at the University also works under certain restrictions that tend to make access a bit difficult for the average person.
I am working with several nationally known labs through some of my contacts that are not directly involved in the day to day Morgellons community. However, they are completely close cased at this time as research has progressed to the point of writing white papers etc.
You may wish to contact some folks closer to home. The University of Washington over in Seattle has an outstanding lab that may be able to help you. Also, there is a quality lab up in Ellensburg, although I do not have any personal contacts there and am not familiar with their capabilities.
Even closer to home are the resources of YVC Community college in Yakima. Perhaps you might want to consider visiting the instructors there and acquainting them with this issue. They may then be able to further your quest through their own scientific curiosity and contacts.
These approaches may prove to be more feasible than attempting to hire an independent lab to do your tests. I can personally assure you that these labs are incredibly expensive.
Further, many of them will not be of much help as they approach testing in a "modular" and pre-assembled fashion. They are not equipped to look for something as unorthodox as the Morgellons pathogen. For that kind of work you need a quality research laboratory. Many of them are located at Universities where there is always an overabundance of up and coming Grad students and future PhD's who are in the market to make a name for themselves.
If you can cultivate the right research contacts in the University atmosphere, you will find that they can generally be very helpful. Of course, you will also find a fair share of the same pig headed attitudes that abound in the Medical community as well, so don't be surprised and more importantly, NEVER get discouraged. We have this thing by the tail and we will whip it!
Hope this is of some help.
Good to hear from you again.
-Cliff

PS: I am going to do a little asking around to see if I can find someone who can assist your doctor. Also, try contacting Dr. Greg Smith at www.cherokeechas.com You can let him know that I asked you to contact him. -Cliff
