Am I wrong, or is it now true that 85% of people are on drugs ?
Man, I am glad I am not in school right now because I am sure they would put me on Ritalin, Prozac and whatever.
i swear when and if i ever have kids i will work three jobs to afford to put them in like a private school or something to TRY and keep them off the drugs !

Most people think if they put them in a private school it will prevent them from any drugs, its false. Its not because you pay more cash to send your kids to private school this will prevent them to use drugs( I know allot of peoples in private school using any type of drugs...) The best prevention is to talk with them. Here an example: its not because you working for a classy business the employees will not be druged or alcoholic.
When I was young teachers called my mother often to tell her to give me Ritalin ( Thanks her she never wanted too!!!). Its normal to be young and agitate. The only good pills for agitate kids its time ;D

Oh, here she goes again. ROTF I can't help it.
Some of the most drugged-up kids I knew came from exclusively-wealthy (financially) families, enrolled in the best schools. They were totally dysfunctional and grew up just as dysfunctional.
Same goes for kids that have no oversight - no rules to follow. When parents don't set guidelines, kids have no structure and they feel alone and unloved. A curfew is set because a parent cares for and loves that child. A child without a curfew feels unloved and abandoned, thinking no one cares, which often is actually the case.
A child's habits as an adult have been proven to stem heavily from parental role modeling.
If you drink, chances are much higher that your kid will to, and that they will have problems with it.
Same goes for drugs (legal and illegal), smoking, and a lot more - habits and thought patterns in general.
Each child has individual personality, but the parent is responsible for molding them and providing everything they need to become happy, healthy adults.
Spending quality time with them is essential - it can't be purchased.
There should be education and a test one must pass before becoming a parent. Making babies is easy - raising them is another matter.

Sometimes known as "copied characteristics".
