I wrote the magazine after reading their article -- I usually write people when they print something positive about us, and I found the article to have a positive tone to it.
Anyway.... they wrote me back and asked for my city and state so they could publish my letter to them.
Here is their email to me: Dear -------,
Good afternoon! My name is Marissa Kristal and I'm an editorial intern at Psychology Today. The reason I'm writing is because we'd like to use your letter in our magazine, but in order to do so, we need to know your city and state of residence. If you could respond with that information, I'd greatly appreciate it.
All the best, Marissa Kristal Editorial Intern Psychology Today

And here is my letter to them: >> >> Thank you for doing a great job on your Morgellons article. I have it -- and even though I have never said 'Morgellons' to any of the doctors I've seen, nor do I take them any 'samples,' or give them any articles, I am still treated quite poorly. >> >> NO one has ever really 'looked' at my lesions at all. Yet, I have been accused of taking drugs, or being an alcohol, or of being 'nervous', which is disheartening to say the very least. They could test me for these things and find out I do not take drugs, nor do I drink. And as far as being a nervous personality -- I guess they are not really paying any attention to me. >> >> I have gone to a therapist for the past year, and he has found me to be intelligent, compasionate, reflective, not a nervous type, nor delusional in any way. >> >> The only thing that I truly wished your article would have addressed, is the definition of a patient being DOP, in that by its very definition in the medical literature, a doctor is supposed to 'rule everything that could possible be wrong out first,' which is not being done in the medical community. >> >> I wonder why, >> >> In the meantime, I can only continue with trying to help myself on my own through alternative medicine, eating healthy, and praying that the day will come, none too soon, for this horrible malady to recognised for what it is, and not what it is not. >> >> This has impaired my life in many ways, mostly due to the extreme meta cognitive, and short-term memory impairment that is involved. It is difficult to work most of the time. >> >> Please continue to follow this disease, or syndrome. I don't believe it is parasites at all, but what it IS, I do not know. Perhaps it is a vitamin or mineral deficiency somehow, like diabetes, of Alz. Perhaps it comes from our environment, or through GM foods, which are depleted in minerals and essential vitamins. >> >> Who knows? >> >> Thank you again for your article. It was extremely well done. Excellent journalism. >> >> Respectfully, >>---------------
Hugs, life

Life, Very well done! What a great letter. Maybe if more of us would continue to write letters to the media we would get more attention. I am beginning to wonder if writing to government officials is getting anywhere. Thanks for a job VERY WELL DONE! Big Hugs, 0happyday
