AIDS-Like Virus Is Found At High Rate in U.S. Cattle - New York Times www.nytimes.com › COLLECTIONS › CATTLE Jun 1, 1991 – After four years of research, scientists from the Department of Agriculture have found that a virus similar in genetic structure to the AIDS virus is ... Study from New Morgellons Order indicates: In 2011, veterinary microbiologist Marianne J. Middelveen from Calgary, Alberta, Canada and internist Raphael B. Stricker, MD published a study documenting similarities between Morgellons disease and a veterinary illness known as bovine digital dermatitis (BDD) that causes lameness, decreased milk production, weight loss, and skin lesions near the hooves of affected cattle. That study revealed that the unusual fibers seen in the animal disease were similar to those seen in and under the skin of people worldwide who suffer from Morgellons disease. The new study confirms that Morgellons disease is not a delusional illness, as some in the medical community maintain. www.thecehf.org/morgellons-study-cited-by-faculty-of-1000.html

Susoni *************************************************************** STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Aug. 10 -- Swedish scientists say they're puzzled by a mysterious illness plaguing an elk population in Sweden that has left many animals dead or dying…severe states of paralysis, emaciation and blindness…The blindness has resulted in some elk being killed in traffic accidents, but experts say they have no clue as to what is causing the symptoms. "There is no scientific explanation," Lennart Balk of Stockholm University told the Aftonbladet newspaper. Balk pointed to the tens of thousands of wild birds that have also died in the area from a lack of thiamine, or vitamin B1, as a possible link. "We see that the elk are infected with the same clinical symptomatically, but it is too early to say whether it's the same disease," he said. Viral and parasitic infections and possible contaminants in the environment have been ruled out, scientists said. "It's a mystery. These are animals that are in good condition," Torsten Morner of the National Veterinary Institute said. "They are confused, and the one bull we had in was emaciated. We don't know what's causing it." It's "strange" that something would stop an elk from eating over the summer, he said.
