The hardest part for me is the hair infection and becoming bald. I bought a wig this week because I'm still trying to work part time. The sores on my arms are unsightly as well. Untill it get's really hot, I can wear long sleeves, but people get freaked out by bald spots and infected hair that dances around in the air. A year ago my hair was lucious, long and blond and I was an attractive woman. But this disease has reduced me to a miserable, ugly freak. So any advice would be greatly appreciated. You should know, however, that I've tried almost everything out there including traditional medicine, natureopathy, Chinese medicine, homeopathy, herbals and supplements, detox protocals, fungal meds, antibiotics, silver, borax, hydrogen peroxide. And I keep getting new sores...
Thanks for this forum as a way to share information and reach out to each other. I welcome everyone's thoughts and ideas and hope I will be able to help you in some way

Hello,
I hope you are doing better than in April. I was touched by your feeling like an ugly freak. This dread disease can make you feel that way. I know that it has taken a toll on my appearance but I know I am harder on me than anyone else. I don't have much advice about treatment because I am newly diagnosed and started treatment 4 months ago. My doctor is treating me aggressively with three antibiotics and Mepron and Artemesien. I feel better, less brain fog and imflammation. My skin hasn't improved much or any as far as I can tell. I hope you have a doctor that knows something about treating Morgellons. We have to keep fighting this disease and supporting one another. Hope you feel better soon. Julia

I think I might have had some small amount of this problem for years.....30 in the last 5 they became quite different and worse than other known possible skin problems.I am sure that I have morgellons......I have not tried everything but on my own I discovered that topical fungicides help a little.....tolenate(tinactin)Iodine with or without alchohol help a little.Taking Nutrasilver brand silver consistantly helped me get slowly better than worse. I am not a sales person for the company......but I would recomend this if you have not tried this.....do your own reading and decide for yourself.

Hello,
I am new to this disease and looking for ideas how to combat it. I have had this for two years now and although it firstly went away after 4 months, it came back with a vengeance after 6 months grace.
I started itching when I was accommodated in a camp in the Pilbara and believed there were bed bugs in the camp. Sores appeared within a couple of days and just continued to break out, regardless that I was moved to another source of accommodation. As it went on I have visited about 10 doctors and a skin specialist. I have completed treatments for skin lice, scabies, and every medication you can think of, including a four month of a 1930's Anti depressant that was supposed to trigger my brain to tell me that there was no infestation and prove that I was delusional. But he I am, still seeking help for my delusion. Two years later, many, many, scars & current lesions and still have no relief.
I had never heard of Morgellons until 2 weeks ago, when in desperation I went online and asked an American doctor for help. Ninety dollars well spent, after he had read my total story, he returned a verdict that I possibly have Morgellons and he suggested I go online and read about the controversial Fibre Disease to determine (Self Diagnose) if this is the case. And it was the case, I am experiencing all of the symptoms and to the point of becoming suicidal to escape the ever persistant biting, sores, fatigue, brain fog, and total debilitating feeling that I cant hold my two new grandchildren in case this is contagious. Although my husband is unaffected, he even found it hard to support me because he did not understand that he could sleep beside me and not experience any of this.
Now that we can identify Morgellons, and he has read about it and watched the videos, he does support me, but he is affected in that he is very concerned and feels helpless to do anything. It upsets him very much.
Since reading all that I can and basically researching as much as I can, I have been taking Colloidal Silver (mild doses). I have also ordered some Nutrasilver online as I could not find anywhere to get it in Australia.
Each time I remove the biting "thing" I then rub Bepanthen Antiseptic cream (10 at supermarket) into the lesion. This has relieved the pain somewhat and the lesions are appearing to heal slowly. I wash my bedclothes every second day, and only wear clothing items once, no matter if I only have it on for five minutes, I wash it before wearing it again. I wash in cold water as the "things" seem to multiply or thrive in heat. Freezing my clothes for 3 weeks while I was away at work did not kill them either.
Anyway, I will keep you informed of my progress with this and once I receive the Nutrasilver and hopefully we can all share ideas and find a way to treat this disease. It seems we are going to have to do the research ourselves and let the medical profession know then, what it is and how to treat it. I hope it helps.

Be careful with your online orders for nutrasilver. They will misuse your credit card and send unauthorized shipments. I just started taking it with little results so far. The whole things smells of snake oil. Good luck.
