Hi,
I have noticed that whenever I eat tuna (or anything with MSG in it) I have a pretty violent reaction. My nose immediately starts running like crazy and I break out in a cold sweat. No real headaches yet - but I have never had a problem with that.
My question is, is there any tuna WITHOUT MSG ? I don't care what it says on the label, I can immediately tell if there is MSG in that food.
It has gotten much worse now that the morgies are taking over my body !
Has anyone else noticed this much increased sensitivity to MSG and/or aspartame ?
John

Well, I used to like Tuna.
especially when it didn't attack me.
the best, I think, is Chicken of the Sea...
Funny, I can't seem to get that any more...

I don't think we got MSG in tuna in Aussie. I just checked a couple of tins in my cupboard and nothing written on them closely related to MSG at all.
You want me to post ya some?!!!

What brand is that tuna ? Does it have hydrolyzed protein or vegetable broth in it (as most do) ? They're loaded with MSG ! Check out: www.moscowfood.coop/archive/msg.html for a list of other ingredients that have MSG in them. John

Hi John
Just buy tuna in brine...it contains only tuna water and salt. I have never seen any tuna in brine containing MSG, but the ones in the different sauces do.
And remember Mother Chrstmas' words to you...stop after the sixth drink! You can bet your bottom dollar that tiny voice of M Xmas will come back to nag you after drink no# 6!!!

John,
I checked my tins of tuna, no mention of hydrolyzed protein or vegie broth. I have 2 different brands in the cupboard, both are "dolphin friendly" & "approved by the National Heart Foundation".
So all in all, I would say they're ok!
This little Mother Christmas won't be having any drinky poos on Christmas day!! Besides, I don't drink anyway!!
