First, I don't claim to hhave "the answer" for morgellons nor do I think anyone here is crazy. It is a terrible, scary disease and the traditional medical community has let us down.
But I've have suffered with this for years and there is not one thing I read that did not describe my symptoms and the strange lesions.
I was , of course, ignored by most doctors.
First, I decided to take the anti psychotic medicine (that I knew I didn't need) and after ding so I still had the problems. So I went to a new doctor who was impressed by my willingness to take the drugs and at the time my lesion was brand new and had not begun to do anything too weird (just looked like an abscess- like the others)
He gave me a rx for clindimycin and cultured the area.
It came back as a resistant form of staph (that had according to him) colonized in my body so kept recurring.
At first I suspected the staph was just in addition to the morgellons and was very wary of his suggestions.
He told me to ta a bleach bath (2 cups per full tub) 5 days in a row, toe get rid of all makeup and personal item that could not be cleaned with antimicrobial agents. I then washed my sheets and pillowcases in bleach daily, as well as bought new pillows a new mattress cover and cleaned everything (threw out razors, deodorant, etc.).
He suggested I open up the lesion and allow in to drain while keeping the area clean- which I did.
I was very skeptical and have been surprised how quickly the lesion cleared up and no new ones have formed.
I will need to keep cleaning (since it only takes one spore for the infection to reoccur) and take intermittent bleach baths, wipe things (even my pets down with antibacterial wipes).
He showed me some pictures of serious staph lesions which looked just like some of what I've seen on my own body and on websites. bright red globs with white seedlike things, hairs, etc.
I suggest telling your next Dr. you took respiridone (ant psychotic) to give yourself some credibility and then take your next lesion to be cultured immediately before you put anything on it. If you get back a positive staph culture then do what they say and be sure to clean it off your body. It must be addressed from the inside and outside.
Just try it. I was skeptical too- but after years of suffering I was taken seriously and so far I am lesion free and it was very quick and effective. I am still vacuuming daily and cleaning everything. Good luck.
