My boyfriend and my roomate have been affected by this gov*r*m*nt disaster..... My boyfriend and I have been doing some research on the internet and he has come to the conclusion that he is going to die from it. He has read somewhere that nobody survives from this condition... is that true? Do people just live with this affliction? What kind of a doctor should he seek to begin to treat the condition.

Hi determined, welcome, nice to meet you, sorry under these circumstances however.
I would be interested to know where your boyfriend read that no one survives this condition. Not that I am doubting what he read, I am truly interested.
How are we to know if anybody survives this condition? How long has it been around? What did it manifest it's self as BEFORE the horror started?....so many questions & yet we don't have any answers.
As far as I'm aware, & being a sufferer myself, people either chose to learn to live with this affliction or they take their own life, suicide.
As for finding a doctor, firstly "good luck" & I mean that from the heart. I pray you find a human being who will see reality for what it is & listen to you & try to help you both.
Take care Sarah

Thanks Sarahconners worked long and hard at this.
How old are you raider and just how exactly did you get rid of it
What symtoms actually abated for you.
When I was young I had hardley any problems, even when I drank myself to sleep every day, that is unless you turned on a blacklight. I was covered by short little pieces of like string, probably bug poo, or they were bugs, that went away, but there was lots more symptoms that would take place all along the time of 38 years.
I hope you are well, I really do but keep your eyes open, WIDE open, I healed over completly and then I got a bad burn, was that ever a mistake in less than 2 days my body was covered, it went from the burned arm to the other arm and then to the head in days.

I turned 50 in Feb & I don’t really know what happened. It started out of the blue and lasted about 3 years? I had all the symptoms everyone speaks of.
I even videoed things coming out of pores in my face. I was plagued with things crawling through my skin, I could even feel a strong web like fibre just under my skin. My face turned a bluish black and I aged 10 years. Every follicle on my face got infected,
I swear I watched something move in my jaw line, I pulled fibre from my face and I went insane!
Doctors thought I was crazy, as I made the stupid mistake of taking samples with me (a mistake I only realised later as I was then diagnosed with paranoia).
Then I became very ill and slipped into a coma for 6 weeks. I had septicaemia and almost died.
I was in critical patients unit and my family were called in as I was not likely to make it through the night. I did make it though!
I was treated with a mixture of antibiotics, had an emergency laparotomy. I pulled through and had to learn to walk & talk again. I don’t know what these antibiotics did, were they the cure?
When I was released from hospital the symptoms disappeared and months later I was in full health.
Then last year for no apparent reason three of my four heart valves began to leak (very rare for a person my age ... something to do with the Blood poisoning?) I had a triple heart bypass and had three plastic (ticking) valves. But why? ....
I sometimes do wonder if I was simply going mad.... but really ...I know I wasn’t! I know what I was going through and it was my worst nightmare. I wished I had answers for you I really do. I wished I knew the cure!
(Although I do still swear by rubbing my face and arms with Germoline as it was the only way to stop my skin erupting)
I am totally aware that this could return as quick and as sudden as it did before. I can hardly believe It hasn’t already returned (I expect it to daily)
There were a lot of us suffering on the old forums years ago, I pop on to see if they are still suffering but only see more names, more horror... I really wished with all my heart I could help, but I will stay here reading if anyone has any questions. Who knows... maybe I can help by being here?

Determined -
Can you provide some detail on your BF and roommate's condition? Did it come on suddenly, was there something in the environment (fleas, mites, mold, chemicals, etc). Do you live with them?
I have known some people with this that died, but it was from cancer. I am sure there are other causes of death, but I have not heard of Morgellons being the primary cause.
I, too, thought sure I was going to die (hoped I would, truth be told!). But I got better and better, and though I still have subtle symptoms that are not at all troublesome, I am living a reasonable life. Please tell your friends not to give up! There are many treatments that help, and if you read enough you will see what they are.
I took the "natural" route, and stay as chemical free as possible - that means food, drinks, household products, soaps, etc.
Raider - thank you for coming around. More of us who are "relatively normal" need to post to give people hope!

Hi, Raider, and thanks for coming back to check on us from time to time.
I am glad to hear you were able to beat this, It gives hope to others.
I am interested in what antibiotics and combination of antibiotics you were given while in the hospital in a coma for six weeks and being treated for septicemia.
I have heard others say a lot or all of their symptoms went away after having gone through treatment for a life threating infection

My son & I developed septicemia in 2007, after my waters broke early. I recall being on an IV drip with an antibiotic (don't know which one) & Flagyl whilst giving birth. My son remained on antibiotics for the first 5 days of his life, as well as a lumber puncture when only a couple of hours old.
I had to cease taking the antibiotics for the septicemia as I'd started to develop side effects/allergic reactions. Also had to cease the Flagyl as I kept going into seizure.
So that's a 'no' from me.

Might a very elevated body temperature be a morgie-killer?
Or may some other infection causing agent be able to "eat" it.
If so, blease send me some.
By the way: A number of narcolepcy cases have appeared in my country and they seem to be connected to the swine flu vaccine. Research is being done.

Glaxo was one of the companies that sought US-patent for swine flu vaccine several years before the swine flu existed...

It makes me feel like I am having a seizure, but I am only shaking vigorously and feel cold as ice. Like I am shivering out of control. If I did not stop taking it, I am sure I would have had a full blow seizure too. I suspect that long term treatment with multiple antibiotics can knock this thing out in many cases.

Brim Brim, I have seen Morgy type patients come into a hospital with an acute illness and come out saying that the morgy type symptoms had left them after they were returned home. I am not sure if the new illness knocks it out or the medications given while in the hospital to treat it did it. I wish we could find out.

I had 10 months IV treatment with Dalacin C for Rickettsia (Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever), unfortunately it didn't shift the morgs.

shutbot, I can't find any credible links on the swine flu vaccine & narcolepsy in Canada & the US.
