A while back I contacted this organization...I received this today and evidently they are asking for "consumer" input into their thoughts about Nano.....
So I thought I'd post. I did not receive the e mail until today, however. My friends are not getting their e mails for over two days sometimes....
Anyway here is the link....I suggest posting on Blogs that are online and already set up at a particular site. Pass it around.

I have registered at the site, and there are still a few open discussions. Future discussions will be offered. You will get emails letting you know when. I see the most "relevant" discussions as far as I was concerned have been closed, I copied this snip:

In my capacity of past coordinator of the European Project : Nanopathology: The role of micro and nanopartciles in inducing pathologies (2002-05) and the present European project on Nanotoxicity, I se that the behaviour of NanoParticles inside the human body is peculiar. The physiological barriers do not exist for NPs. They can reach all the internal organs if inhaled or ingested with food; that means that they were found (and photographed) in the gonads or in the brain.
When they are entrapped in the tissues, since they are not biodegrdable nor biocomaptible, they can induce a reaction (a pathology).
This evidence I evaluated in more than 700 patients, does not mean that nanotechnologies must be rejected. WE need nanotehcnologies and nanotechnological tools in order to face problems also medical that occur at nanoscale level.
We are in a similar situation of the Curies, 2 centuries ago. They discovered the radioactive materials and radioactivity. But only after an intial enthusiam and after hundred of deaths, we learned how to manage them in a safe way. It is possible to avoid their side effects.

Maybe we need to all e mail her to get her input. She had some great information posted. There are others there who I feel we need to link up with. The concept there seems to be...no money to regulate, if regulated, no way to "enforce" and from what I can gather, no way for liability either! This is a crock. If I get a freaken speeding ticket, I am d**n liable....I think everyone should post there and be heard.
Thanks,
Mm
