Hi everyone. I'm Allison. Today I found a red hair, a bit less than an inch long, growing near my toenail. I was already aware of Morgellons from reading articles online so naturally I was worried.... but I told myself it could be anything. Well, I've just spent about an hour trying to sleep, but my skin was itching a lot. I thought that that might have been the result of just my brain being paranoid - until I felt a sharp, distinct bite on the side of my knee. I went to see if I could find any more fibers, and there was nothing - except when I checked my back, there is sort of like a sore scabby spot that wasn't there earlier today. It feels fuzzy.
I am absolutely terrified right now, for myself and for my boyfriend, who I share a bed with, and who already has medical problems. If I have this disease the last thing I want to do is get him infected, as he has a slightly weakened immune system due to a kidney disorder.
I don't know what to do. It's 3 am but I can't imagine trying to sleep. I'm going to schedule a doctor's appointment in the morning... Although I doubt he'll believe anything is wrong. It sounds insane! I don't even believe it myself right now!
I honestly can't believe this is happening. I don't think I've ever been this scared in my life.

allia, Please do not upset youself. Wait till you see the Dr. Maybe it is something else causing your symptoms, and not this morgellons disease.
Tell your Dr. about all of your symptoms and see if he can help you. If his treatment fails, you may have this thing disease. If you do not improve, and you do have this, there is a lot things you can do to reduce those awful symptoms.
In the meantime, Go to the remedy section and see what others are doing to help themselves so you can be prepared.
booniesboy is a great help to many here.
May God bless you and heal you.

Thanks, I really appreciate this There are just so many different things that I've read about it on the internet, I've got no idea what to think or expect. I wouldn't have thought too much of it, except for that red hair-like-thing. It looked so strange. I read something yesterday abput some lady who says that taking baths with alfalfa tablets made hers disappear completely. Anyone know anything about that?

Hi, alli
I tried the alfalfa and Sun laundry detergent with bleach alternative treatment when the story came out about one year ago. I am so glad that it worked for that lady, but, unfortunately, it did not work for me. After several attempts, my bathtub drain began to clog up with the alfalfa, so I decided to stop.
I now use MSM soap and lotion and oil of oregano, and numerous vitamin and herbs, and diet changes. I do not eat anything raw because raw fruits and vegs have microscopic insects in them. When I stopped eating bananas, alot of my symptoms reduced. They have knat like eggs in them that hatch when the skin turns spotty brown. You have probably seen them flying around in your kitchen when fruit becomes ripe. They are also called fruit flies.
I avoid being in areas where bugs like to be, lakes, creeks, woods, ect... I do not hold my dog on my lap anymore.
I think you might find it helpful to go the the symptom list and see if you have the other symptoms. Most people with this disease have almost all of the symptoms on the list, and if you do not have them, perhaps you have another medical condition that an M.D. may be able to heal you of.
I wish you the best. Please let us know how you are doing.

Alli, Please don't panic. You are not alone and you are not crazy.
The symptom list on this site is the best I've seen. Read it slowly and completely.
One thing came to mind immediately; your concern for yor boyfriend. Since you share a bed, you can use an extra sheet that wraps around you only before you climb into bed as it will provide some barrier.
There are many things you can do to help yourself. Part of this intends to frighten you. Take a stand against it. Stand strong and tall no matter what it does.
Your fuzzy scab is a leison from which fibers are exiting.
This is a plastic formed by chemical toxins, and not organic. Regardless of what it looks like, it's just plastic.
Go to the Remedy forum. Don't be afraid to ask lots of questions. And don't buy every snake oils that wont help you (I did that!).
God Bless you Alli.
Grace
