Hello again, Just Bugsy here again. Well I'm thoroughly frustrated!!! After my holiday visit at my mom's house I decided to be proactive about this condition regardless of the OUTCOME....got sick of sitting around complaining. So Tuesday I called the derm. dr. and that got me nowhere. I dropped off a dixie cup of the critters.....and drove off. I'm pretty certain he didn't even look at them. A-hole. sorry. So today I got into my Family Dr. and I told him that the derm. dr. was not taking me seriously and what was going on. This man took a BUNCH of time while I pulled fibers off of EVERY segment of my body and then he let ME look at them one by one under his high powered microscope. He said it mostly looks like fibers....and the were mostly a BLUE color. He said "What do you see?" I just said...."I've not gone to school for this so I'm not sure." So he said he will send them off to pathology. This guy was being VERY cool about this and patient ....but he thinks I'm barking up the wrong tree with parasites. He DOES NOT think I'm crazy.......but he knows something is going on with my skin.....thinks the lesions are something to do with my thyroid.....ZOIKS!!!! Well......maybe we will see what the lab results are. I will see him again in two weeks with the lab results. I felt like I was on trial or something...even though he was being nice. WTF does one do when they are in this situation? I'm SICK and TIRED.....too..!!! At least he put "dry skin" as his diagnosis...and said..."Now don't get mad" and I just said...."It is dry!" lol.....I'd just get mad if he did a knee jerk DOP....B.S. OMG.......can't take much more of this. God give me strength. ~Bugsy

Bugsy, I go through the I can't take anymore of this at least once a month. And then one of my dear friends here at the board lend an ear and some of their expert advice, and I find the strength once again to go on. You are defineately at the right place. When you are ready to give up or just plain low, reach out to one of us. Forget the Dermatologists, they have DOFTL (Delusions of Fairy Tale Land) or DOHTT (Delusions of Holier than Thou) You are very lucky to have your family Dr. When you go back, Expect no real results. Don't blame him, he is just reading the lab reports. Be prepared and back it up with data. Stand Firm. Big Hugs.

somebody finally "snaps".. and smashes the doctor's heads in with a baseball bat..
i am sure they will have "DoD"
... "Delusions of Death"..
and the smasher will merely explain.. to the medical community..
that. ..No, this is all in their heads.. this person is merely imagining being bludgeoned.. and is simply imagining that they are dead.
And..
They could use that in court as an excuse purely to mock the DoP cause.

Bugsy, the RN who is treating me ordered a O & P (Ova and Parasite) and the results came back negative, but the Lab suggested the test for Crypto. The results of it were negative as well. What we are dealing with is neither and there is no test for something they do not know what it is. Do not be discouraged. Soon they will know. As for the blood test, expect them to say everything is normal. Have the Dr check your urine for PH levels as well.

Ohappyday...
Just love the DOHTT - isn't that the truth.....what is wrong with the medical community??
I have a doctor that has seen my husband and I for 4 years now and we butt heads all the time about this and it is the most frustrating thing and you just want to throw up when you leave the office but.....he has helped me with paperwork needed to file disability and he filled out paperwork which is very time consuming for him for both of us and does help with some symptoms such as the pain we have to live with everyday of our lives....
No one should have to live with the pain we deal with every day.....and your body cannot heal when it is fighting pain 24 hours 7 days a week....so I think establishing some sort of communication with a general practictioner is a good thing....
AND YOU WILL BUTT HEADS and IT IS THE MOST FRUSTRATING experience to go through.....I think he has helped my husband and I with other very important issues such as our BENEFITS we all so deserve...you need a doctor to see you every six months or so just to have records so you can file for disability benefits if you paid into that.....if you paid into that you better establish a repore with some sort of doctor so you can file for YOUR BENEFITS......
For if it wasn't for him and the wonderful woman that interviewed me during the process and saw what terrible symtoms I dealt with on a daily basis - I was awarded my benefits so now I don't have to worry about supporting myself and worry more about healing and getting better....

Wow you guys....How long have you had this? Ohappy and Sickand T? Maybe there is some sort of consolation and support if your spouse is also affected by this....not a great thing but at least you are not left twisting in the wind yourself.. My spouse is still not exactly in my corner with this. I think he wants definitive proof as well....it doesn't help that he can't see very well without glasses and using magnifying glass......I keep showing him the fibers coming out of the backs of my fingers after showering.....usually three at a time. I want him to pull on them to see that there is RESISTANCE. They are sooo small. They don't make command performances either... HA ~Bugsy ~Bugsy

Bugsy...
We took the plunge and told our story on the New Morgellons Order web site.....we are right behind Ali and Holly and their story.....my husband and I have been fighting this disease 13 years now.....and doing nothing but going downhill health wise....
I can honestly say....this has brought us very very close as we have temporarily cut all visits with family and friends becaue WE KNOW we have infected others as WE DID OUR OWN PEOPLE RESEARCH and that was the toughest thing I have ever done is call old friends and co-workers and were shocked at the outcome.....
So now there is a face to the name SickandTired....

This thing is evading testing because it is NANO.....testing will need to go much deeper to deal with this disease...they need to put the microscopes down a bunch of notches to catch this thing....and I think not all blood samples will carry this thing....
I have read about painstaking hours at the microscope to finally see this -
my husband said it took a GOOD TRAINED EYE to see one of these NANO microbes under the microscopes at this job site and it wasn't easy to find one and that is why they would have contests to see who could spot one the quickest.....one drop of water on the slide was like an ocean to them.....it was like looking for a bass in the paciific ocean is how he describes it......
So all testing needs to be revamped to accomodate the new NANO world we live in....the old ways of testing will no longer work for the NANO diseases we are dealing with...

Hi Bugsy,
I have had this horrific condition since 2002 after moving to a new house in the middle of nowhere. The house had been empty for a long time and the water was very very bad. I did not drink it but we bathed in it.
I do not have a spouse since right after this started. For a long time I was convinced that my spouse had some how infected me with some type of biological agent.
I do know how hard it is to deal with no believing family and have found that it is better to not discuss this with family because you will find absolutely no support there.
I am lucky, no, "let me say blessed", to have found support here at the board.
Big Hugs let me know if you ever need to talk.
