Hi folks,
I'm in the process of installing a new dryer that will vent directly outside. Unfortunately, it will vent close to the first step of our most heavily used door.
I realize that the exhaust is a 'bio-hazard' containing a lot of nasties that we try so hard to rid ourselves. With the exhaust close to the house, and in our walking path, is there something that I could do to minimize the danger it might pose to being re-infected?
I thought of some sort of exhaust filter that would spray a diluted ammonia on the exhaust, but it doesn't seem to practical. Or perhaps blow it into a porous bag (like a vacuum cleaner bag) that would trap the infected lint, then turf it?
Am I getting paranoid again?
Any ideas?

Dear Boonieboy,
I understand your concern, the problem with this is that because it is nanotechnology and it is so small, and most likely coming out of the sky as well, we just must do the best we can. There is a point where you will begin to realize that no matter what you do, you cannot eliminate it all. Do the best you can to help yourself and wife and protect others. Than accept that as your best.
Build your immune systems, build your mental strength and most of all your spiritual strength will see you through as you already know having been involved in the work you have done. Use that that you KNOW, because it is that connection with the spiritual that will see you through this. I know you have that down pat!
Tip sent by a friend: use panty hose, may not eliminate all but will help. Make sure and clean out regularly, or replace to prevent fire issues.
Many Blessings, whiterose

Thanks whiterose,
I reasoned that because it's in the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the food we eat, there's really nothing that can be done to eliminate it totally. I figure we'll settle with dealing with the symptoms as they arise, pray lots - in particular for others who are having a rough time with this, and sigh deeply.
Btw, the dryer project got put on hold for a bit while I headed to the hospital this afternoon. I was careless with a power drill with a huge hole saw. It skidded off the board and gouged out an eight inch strip off my inner right thigh, then skittered across my left arm (just missed the vein, than our Good God!) Eight stitches later, a embarrassed look on my face, I was home. (And I've worked with this stuff all my life w/o incident . . .sigh.)
I guess my nanoMunchers will love this wounds - I can feel them biting underneath the bandages.
Thanks for the reply.
Blessings for you and your family, booniesboy
