I am so pleased to be part of this particular forum. We all are thinkers and we are not afraid of thinking out of the box, since in-the-box has yielded Zilch. We don't whine or fight - we seek and learn. Hooray for us!!
But are we far enough out of the box?
Item 1
Maybe a week ago I heard some pundit/author/talking-head relate this incident. He was speaking with a high-up official, saying that he was puzzled about some official policy - that it didn't gel with reality.
He said the official responded by saying, "Well, that's your problem - you're rooted in reality." The official went on to say that the Admin has moved far beyond reality and that if you're still "stuck back there" - in reality - none of what is happening will make any sense to you.
(Sorry, I don't remember what channel or who said this - I was only half-listening until it was almost over, but it has sort of hovered in my brain, curiously waiting to see if it could be pieced together with whatever other info might come later.)
Item 2:
Lou Dobbs (CNN), just a few days ago, interviewed Dr. James Hansen - Dir of (NASA) Goddard Center - and whom many call the world's leading expert on global warming. He said that our Leader has never asked his opinion on the subject, and that he knew of no expert scientists in his field who had been asked. Whaaaat?
Instead, he said that Michael Creighton, the sci-fi author, is the one that our Leader is consulting about global warming. I thought Lou was going to fall out of his chair, as I gripped my own chair. I love Lou. I tried to find this item online, but I'm not finding this particular part of the show anywhere, yet.

So far, we think we know that:
1. Morgs is a debilitating, maybe terminal, illness. We don't know how many people may have died from it, because like the gentleman on ABC, his death was attributed to something else. (Do I remember correctly - that his wife asked for an autopsy, but it wasn't done? I'm not sure.)
2. Morgs is being kept very low-key, not addressed publicly much. And when it is, the delusional angle seems to be prominent in the presentation. Presumably, as the public finds out, they'll discover their innocuous symptoms actually form the Morgs profile. And once they discover that, the natives may become very restless.
3. Doctors are denying the presence of Morgs, almost as if they've been instructed to do so. It's hard to believe they're all just very hard-headed and narrow-minded. By nature, they are supposed to be curious, to be the investigator and the healer, not one who denies and pushes diagnoses and drugs indiscriminately. Maybe they need to start new careers.
Wouldn't their day go by faster if they actually pursued one of these "delusional" claims? Isn't it monotonous to keep making the same diagnoses over and over again, like a robot? Why aren't they afraid of malpractice suits from misdiagnoses? Most doctors run scared from the "M" word, so why aren't they covering their butts in this circumstance? They sure do in other circumstances. Why don't they order gillions of tests, running up the tab and supporting that third ex-wife's alimony?
For the sake of this argument, let's say that:
1. The theory that our DNA is being changed is correct.
2. We are being morphed into something else.
3. It is being done purposely.
4. Transmission method is via water, air, contact and vector, which means it is indiscriminately being done...no way to control the genie outta the bottle, even if it's just being spread by just some of these methods.
If this is all attributed solely to wastewater treatment, so long ago, wouldn't something have surfaced in public knowledge by now? (I worked in the enviro field for a couple of years, working primarily with engineers and clean-up projects, and I never learned or heard of anything that might relate here, and considering what I was dealing with, I probably should have learned of something.)
Admittedly, this sounds like a sci-fi thriller already, but then 1984 sounded fictitious, too, back in another time.
It is reasonable to suppose that:
1. This is a very expensive project, therefore, very important to somebody.
2. It is covert, which is hard to fund - black project money, pilfered quietly from elsewhere, or maybe borrowed from another country.
3. Covert ops are done, for one reason, so they do not upset the public (upset for a variety of reasons). Chances are, chem plane pilots don't even know the truth about what they're doing - whatever it is that they're doing.
4. Upsetting the public would be very expensive - expensive in a variety of ways.
5. If it is harmful or deadly, whomever is doing it would logically have a vaccine or immunity or something to protect themselves and other chosen ones. Surely contamination avoidance is not as simple as just not buying cotton products or using ammonia in the laundry.
6. If they are doing it to themselves, too, then there is a very important reason it is being done, or else they have become so crazed with power and greed that the whole ball o' wax is outta control.
7. The fact that it is global indicates that it is so important it must occur to everyone, or ditto the ball o' wax.
The obvious question is Why?
1. Overpopulation
Some say it's to decrease the population, for a variety of reasons. But it appears to be indiscriminate and includes wildlife, etc., affecting the entire ecocycle. If one were going to reduce population, it would be more specific - like get all the bears because Stephen Colbert hates them, or get all the boomers because they're going to bog the system down (after they made the system thrive for all those years). You get the point.
Plus, all the little game tokens are necessary to make the whole game work. Removing the tokens from the game board would pretty much end the game. What fun would that be?
2. Frankenscience
After watching several Univ of CA seminars on nano and biotech, it appears that these egocentric, cold and calculating guys give no thought to anything out of their tiny, tiny box, like ethics or most human emotions. And many of these scientists are really, really young, talking about how they're combining things and making new creatures. In this case, one may consider that the whole ball o' wax may be outta control.
I did learn, however, that they are interested in using electricity on cells and that different frequencies effect different outcomes, giving rise to the credibility and brilliance of Mr. Royal Rife and effective treatment with the Rife machines. The trick is determining the correct frequency.
A peek inside their box:
A young, bright Ph.D was speaking about music and the mind. They've sliced and diced and come up with conclusions about music and humans. Apparently, scientists believe that only humans respond to music and rhythm, etc.
But what about parrots? They sing and dance, bob and sway in precise time with music, even if they've never heard the tune before. And some have larger, more diverse and gramatically-correct vocabulary than some of our officials are capable of. news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/3430481.stm
Then the doctor said he has a friend who referred him to a new movie - "The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill." He was shocked and now wants to experiment on parrots (oh, God). The clip he showed had a wild parrot very precisely swaying and bobbing to blues. Duh!!
I can just see a poor parrot in his lab, with electrodes and wires and machines, and he's refusing to dance, so they'll conclude that parrots are stupid and don't do squat.
These scientists are so cold and precise and ... cold. They're stuck so far in their box, they don't see the light of day. BTW - he highly recommends the movie. It does look like a great piece of work.
3. But What About Door Number Three? Major Earth Changes and Our Changes
Dr. Hansen (on Lou Dobbs) said global warming is happening much faster than scientists even recently predicted and that we can only stand another 2-degree temp rise before it has cataclysmic effects on us all. He didn't appear too hopeful that this will not occur, either.
Could it have been determined in the house on the hill that the easiest, fastest fix to this looming situation is to morph everything into something that could tolerate the presumed enviro events that are close at hand? Is the "electrical foo" also part of the metamorphasis because future events may include electrical events that we need to be unaffected by, immune to, or conversely, affected by and not immune to?
An age-old query is whether art imitates life or life imitates art, and this may be a good example.
So maybe the fiction readers or movie watchers in our group can tell us -
Are there any books that have a storyline similar to any of this?
Does anyone follow Creighton's work? (Should we be thankful Stephen King is not the global warming consultant? LOL)
Are some of our answers in some fictional work quietly sitting on display in the grocery store check-out line?
Have we climbed far enough out of the box when considering Morgs? Are we too reality-based in our ponderings?
Think way back to things you've read and heard. Do any of the things in this post ring true with something that's been "hovering" in your head? Is this all so crazy that it merits no time or thought at all? Should I just shut up?
If that's the case, I apologize in advance for straying so far into the ethers and for taking up the space and time here. Please tell me, and I'll stop, no feelings hurt. LOL
