Here's a good website of information about dictyostelium. It has quite a few detailed ilustration of it's structure and life cycle. I can see how it can be a part of morgellons. even if it's not the whole of the affliction it could certainly be the base where everything else is formed out of... Perhaps it's been modified so it produces or replicates the fibers? Don't really know if this is true as all we can do is assume. It's the same with only other guess about this disease, but slime mold is involved. www.metamicrobe.com/dicty/Awake

Here is a short video i found on slime mold. It shows the amoeba unifying into a "slug" and forming it's fruiting body... It reminds me how morgellons seems to be able to unify in a similar way... It's quite striking that the cells will "sacrifice" themselves when it forms into it's friuting stage.
It's very intelligent for a single celled organism to be able to do this. I suppose with a bit of genetic modification they could of produced something with the "intelligence" morgellons seems to have...
