Group calls for action to treat Autism The World Today - Monday, 5 March , 2007 12:30:00 Reporter: Barbara Miller ELEANOR HALL: A study on autism has found that one in every 160 Australian children between the ages of six and 12 has an autism spectrum disorder. The three-year study also found some parents have waited two years for their child to be diagnosed. The Advisory Board on Autism Spectrum Disorders, which commissioned the report, says it demonstrates there's an urgent need for national standards to be set on the diagnosis and treatment of autism, as Barbara Miller reports. www.abc.net.au/worldtoday/content/2007/s1863263.htm

Funny though how they want to TREAT the Autism instead of LOOKING for the reason this disease has tripled since 1993.....
maybe if they took blood and went down a notch on the reading indicator and looked below cell level they might find something really interesting causing this....

I know sickandtird, it's called a "bandaid", if you put a bandaid on top maybe just maybe it may go away, but it doesn't and it won't. I agree with you, find out what the cause is, but heck that is too darn easy hey, and big business don't get to make big money....
