This doctor suggests this is the problem, my thoughts are that this is part of the problem: cbs2.com/video/?id=34515contributed by Ali

I definitely agree Whiterose but they gotta blame it on somebody. I don't know about anyone else, but did you see the size of that fiber? He definitely didn't need a microscope. They must grow them bigger in New York.
His fiber's bigger than my fiber, his fiber's bigger than mine. His fiber's bigger cause he grows Agrobacterium, his fiber's bigger than mine.
LOL That's for you Ali, I couldn't resist. From one to another. Know what I mean? hehehehehehehhe

LOL That's for you Ali, I couldn't resist. From one to another. Know what I mean? hehehehehehehhe I'm trying to practice my laugh therapy. If it helps at all, I had one clump of fibres the same size ! On (02) occasions I persisted in 'digging out' anything that did not feel right from any facial lesions by using tweezers etc. These 'wounds' grew into cysts that I had to have removed surgically. To start with, the sites had small amounts of reds/blues and the occasional black fibre. As I persisted, the entrance/exit hole in my skin would stay the same size but the swelling beneath would get larger as I attacked what I could differentiate between 'hard' & 'soft' tissue. ( Being an engineer, I even used a dentist/modellers drill bit at times, for the really tough bits - it worked a treat ! ) The 'cyst' I now had hanging off my face was the size of a peeled satsuma (the MaxFax surgeons word for it not mine) but you know what? it (or they - cos I did it twice) never became infected !! But before the surgeon got chance to excise the first one, I was digging around one day as usual when an unusual 'pop' was discerned. What appeared at the 'punctum' was a piece of what I can only describe as a piece of fat spaghetti, approx 5mm dia across and 10mm long. Behind the spaghetti and loosely attached to it was a grand mass of fibres the same size as that seen in the video - all Reds/Blues and Black. - ( I was in shared accommodation at the time and had 03 unwilling, unappreciative but nevertheless v-useful witnesses ! ) The second cyst (1 year apart) was cored out uneventfully For the first occasion I had been treated with Augmentin (an Antibiotic) for what was (mis)diagnosed as folliculitis - I think thats why I found more fibres - it (the worm/fluke/whatever) was being affected, but not killed outright by the antibiotic. Histology came back each time from the 'satsumas' saying nothing found - well theres a thing. Maybe I should have left them in eh ? I don't think so !! Gazz
