While wondering how yogurt affects the skin of people affected with this malady, you have to take into consider into consideration that there is bacteria in yogurt.
You would also have to think further and think about the overuse of antibiotics, steroids and so many other drugs used on our milk producing animals and take into consideration the minerals and compounds in milk products.
Though all of these items may have some affect on the infected flesh I have a suspicion that it is the bacteria that creates the pink skin to form around the white plaque on the skin, still that's just a guess backed up by nothing.
At first I contemplated that there is a possibility that bacteria can do damage to virus, as I believe the hidden under skin growths (lesions) are actually attributed to HERPES.
So I looked and it seems that its actually the other way around, virus can disrupt bacteria from what I am reading, virus invades bacterial cells.
Then if that is the nominal result and I am correct about the lesions why does the skin around the white plaque on the skin react, there are so many possibilities, without being knowledgeable in this field and not knowing what exactly is causing the redness, one could guess forever.
Here is a man asking a question on a web site about exactly the same item.

He ask's with the idea of using bacterium to destroy HIV virus
Thinking in the manner that virus can kill or affect the production of bacteria, this could be the answer to why, why most all of us went so long in near perfect health with beautiful skin, that would be, those of us with HERPES which is a huge amount if not all with lesion outbreaks have had a virus watching over our systems for a very long time, until something went wrong.
Read this article it can possibly explain some part of our disease. www.technologyreview.com/news/409905/using-viruses-to-kill-bacteria/
Now why don't I ask of my computer WHY does yogurt make my skin turn red, maybe I will get a opinion that is worthy of the question.
I found something about a girl that used a facial of chocolate and yogurt and it made her face itch really bad especially around a scar, that scar became very red, now there is one thing I know for sure, scars have been known to be problematic on our bodies for inclusion in reactive spots, many people have said this.
Anyway, the first answer to go with, OH ITS ALLERGYS, allergy of the invader or the body of this person, I suggest many so called allergys are the possible reaction of one that has been invaded by some other entity that allows this issue to react.
Then you see, its only a suggestion, a suggestion furthered by what I know about stealthy hidden long term disease.
