Hi, Faith,
Thank you so much for you reply, it really did help a lot! My sweet pom can eat and drink, and go pottie outside.
He is getting weaker by the day though, so I do not know for how long he will be able to continue. He stiffens up his left hind limb and cries out in pain for a few seconds about 2-3 times a week. At first I thought he was having a seizure, but now I don't think so.
When I took him to the vet for the pain and weight loss, they did blood tests that showed renal failure. He is on special food and medication. He is eating better now and the weight loss has stopped for now.
I like the way you choose which way to go with such a difficult decision, it makes sense. I just couldn't see it on my own, thanks.
I don't want to have to put him to sleep, but I don't want to make him suffer by not helping him through either. I always left these things in God's hands, but it hurts so to see them suffer and do nothing to help.
Bless you, Faith shubot

Shubot, I also am an animal lover and have had to make many more life and death choices than I would like.If your baby's weight loss is stopped for now,and you can afford the meds and special food,I would keep on keeping on.I had a Min. Schnauzer that was my heart with similar problems, and then he developed liver failure.Diagnosed same month I was diagnosed with liver failure,we had same birth month too, weird, huh, but they said he wouldn't get 6 more moths to live.BUT,he lived 3 more years, and his quality of life was pretty good.If I had it to do over I would do the same thing again. But,I do want to mention, please give your dog only bottled or RO water.I feel the Lord gave me that insight with my dogWith renal failure, water and diet are everything,of course, and I'm sure you already know that.I will pray for you and your baby. Also,if you trust your vet,my first question is always,"If this were your dog, what would YOU do?I hope this is a help. Please keep me posted.

Hello again Shubot, I will bet my left toe that the problem with pain your dog is having in his back end is the bone depleation that this invader causes, MSM will help with the pain and repair of this problem, my friends dog also had this problem and they found depleation of the bone with a large buildup of what they felt was calcium. MSM means I can run again and I had problems walking before.

One other thing that may help with heart problems is oil of oregeno, look up its benifits, I saw alot of people complaining of mysterios skin problems saying it helped them online, it is really a STRONG flavor, even if put inside a capsual

Hi, sherrykay, Yeah, that is weird about you and your dog! I am sorry you both are so ill.... ..... I had a dog that became ill and the Vet wanted to put under. He said she would be dead an a month or two. I said no, I nursed her, and she went on to live 13 more very happy years! What is RO water, never heard of it? Thanks for the prayers, that is the very best medicine! Blessings, shubot

You are so right about MSM and Oil of Oregano p73. I have been using it since Dec 06. I also use The Oregabiotic because my doc would not give me antibiotics and it works pretty good for me. My dog will not take the MSM. I tried to sneak it in his water and he won't drink it. He just sits in front of his water bowl and sniffs it now and then. When I replace it with plain water, then he will drink. I guess he is a little stubborn about it. I am very glad you can run again. Isn't it great when we can find something to help us get better? Yeah!.. ;D.... ;D... ;D.. ;D..... ;D I take the MSM, Glucosamine, and Chondroitin for my back, hips and legs, and it works pretty well for me..... ..... Thanks for the tips, and it is good to hear from you! shubot

Hi Shubot, RO water means reverse osmosis treated water.I fill my bottles at the water machines.I'm in AZ. and water is a big issue here.No long story, but in a nutshell, tapwater gave me typhoid 15 years ago. They had drilled through sewer line drilling new reservoir.I also test positive for having had Hepatiis A,which comes from bad water,or food.I already had Hepatitis C so A was a bigger issue for me than some people.I don't use tap water for drinking or cooking, and definitely not for my pets.I will continue praying for your dog.Hugs to you!!

Shubot,I forgot something. The pain in your baby's leg is muscle. When kidneys start shutting down there are higher levels of creatine.Watch for dark urine and you will notice more pain at those times. It is similar to exertional myopathy in horses,as far as effects, but causes are different in dogs.I'm sure you already know this, but try to kinda' keep track of water intake.I have a 12 year old(ex husband has him) Labrador with renal failure. When he stops wanting to go pee,he stops drinking, which means proteins build up,and he gets sorer in his legs.Vicious cycle, but if he drinks enough,he pees enough, and protein doesn't reach crucial levels.

Hi Shubot,
My dog (a shidzu) also has morgs. My vet witnessed first hand black specs dropping onto the veterinary table, and questioned what it was - so I told him - Morgs, and the vet 'Ian Gorrie' not only believed me, but also asked me if Morgs was being transferred from me to the dog to me etc.,
He did a quick internet search and prescribed Liquid Ivermec, which I measure out 1ml once weekly for 4 weeks, and I have got to say he is doing much better.
Hope this helps, goodluck with you pooch Debbied

Hi, Sherri My dog drinks a LOT of water. I at first thought he had diabetes. But the Lab said no. The new food he is on is called K/D and he actually loves it. I think it is really helping his kidneys. I will watch for the change in potty color and less fluid intake. Thanks for the tips. We all come from a variety of experiences and when combined and shared by so many, it becomes synergistic and we all benefit. Isn't that wonderful? shu

Thanks for the tip on informing the Vet. I never did that. I have had so many bad experiences with docs, that I just do not mention the M word to any of them anymore. Maybe my Vet will be different. I will give it try and let you know how it goes. shu

Shubot - I know the pain when you love them so much - they have unbelievable and unconditional love. I think the Vets seem to be more on to this than doctors now. Too long to put here about the dog I lost but now, looking back I am sure it was Morgs. The Vet had no answer to any of it at the time.
Thanks to England and debbieD I looked into the Ivermec / Ivermectin and found that it definitely handles more than worms and my last dog was never treated with this - poor darling.
We have to treat our dogs here monthly for Heart Worm - not sure if you do this elsewhere and the all-wormer is done separately. I think debbieD is right that the Vets are suddenly more aware of this than doctors. I found a monthly Heart Worm + All Wormer for the dog that had Ivermectin plus other drugs for all worms in it (Ivermectin is used for Heart Worm but so are other drugs which my previous dog was having) - anyway there was a warning on box to "check with Vet first" before giving to dog.
I rang the Vet and they confirmed it was OK for my Golden Retriever but that the warning was there due to the fact that Collie Dogs are ALLERGIC to Ivermec. Asked the Vet how often the dog should have an ALL WORMER - they have now changed it to MONTHLY whereas previously, they would say monthly for Heartworm and all wormer probably every 3months.
Found Ivermec/Ivermectin can be very toxic - debbieD also advised me of this - for humans we have to get a prescription. Not done this yet as have to go back to doctor and that in itself a trauma if they don't believe.
I wish I had known about this before ie with the previous Retriever.

Hi, downunder I am sorry you lost you little dog I appreciate the info. I am a little nervous about saying the "M" word to a doc but I will give it a try and see what happens, I hope it will be a positive experience. Isn't it great how we can share info and our experience here and we all benefit? My dog is getting along a little better now. Thanks, shubot

Shubot, i have been doing business at LYMBUSTERS and the MORGELLONS DISEASE REASEACH sites
I went there to check to see what was happening there.
It was duper easy to post pictures on the MDR site so i stayed there.
Take a look there some people like us doing simple tests maybe can help out. Who knows.
Amron, how big is the glass shards, there was a little girls in Asia, Efypt or somthing that made this glass out of her eyes. BIG glass its kind of hard to watch, she is probablt lucky they look like diamons as I am sure they are seen as a blessing, hope for her sake they do not turn black.
I have seen these shards of like glass in the urine with my microscope. Funny thing is there are very few urine crystals

Hi ...Ebony is my color for today, yesterday it was Ruby's. I do know, its like taking a mack truck, to dump the stuff. I have pretty much seen the house that Jan built. Ruby red crystals are beautiful even if they are morgies. Early on it was opal, and turquois, in hexagon shapes. Piles and piles of black hurtful shards really doesn't get it. I'll be glad when this hand is done, it is taking forever. The huge coffee ground shapes hurt, but have instant relief when they vacate. When I think I am finished up pops a new crop.
I did a super dumb thing last eve. trying to rush the morgies out of my hand so I can go be sociable again. I get so cranky when some dufus queerys me about what I'm hiding under the bandage. Any way, I have my list of what works, I decided to make one super thingytail and speed up the procces, well it turned out to be like a blow tourch,my hand is fire engine red. My son said, my god you done it now. Thanks for letting me ramble. Thanks S. for posting Dr. S. even if it is gone.

AMRON, sorry about your suffering, yes life should not be like this BUT i have a little trick for you.
Tricks
Here is a great excuse for lesions, impetigo, skin cancer
Here is a good cover for your hand and arm that looks fine and speaks for itself, a arm brace, they are cheap and keep the questions and answers simple, and in fact help keep some of the suffering at bay, you can tighten them up pretty good.
I had a super bad case of fibromialga, this helped me and also covered the issues, if you go to the store to buy one call first, some stores think they are selling you a new life, they should be less than 20 dollars also they come in RIGHT and LEFT hand

Hi, amron I undestand your pain except it sounds as tho you are suffering more severe than I was. The tiny shards of glass phase is very painful. I think it is very hard plastic coming out and not actually glass tho. Some of mine were two colors like a black background with orange spots, really weired. I do not have any more now. What did you take that blow torched your hand? The board does not allow us to say certain words and it will come out with "thingy" like T-e-a-s-p-o-o-n will appear as teaspoon. Whatever you typed that you took came out as "thingytail" I hope your hand will be OK. shubot

Hi... Shubot I noticed the strange word change, I thought it was rather benign but who's to know? I guess I cant sweat the small stuff, when my mind is suffering so to figure this disease out, which is impossible.
Hand ah yes! You all can say we told you so. The saga of hand continues on weither I want it to be over or not. I went beyond myself, and made me the lab rat. Forgetting all I had learned from the previous experience trying to rush a leison healing. I put caution to the wind and flew the pirates flag. Last night and all day today I have been soaking the sucker and trying to keep myself out of the hands of the incompatent proffessionals. The money is a feature too. I have an area about 2 by 3 directly setting on major veins, close to the thumb. I realized what I had done when the itching and swelling began. I tried to rectify the damage but alas it was too late. The god awful whord had surfaced stacked together like cord wood. To make matters worse tissue or morgie infested skin was a decided gray. I ignored the warning and consoled myself with it was the tea bags that stained it. When huncks of skin with morgies in it fell off, I knew it was a serious chemical burn, not a good thing. I didn't go to the doctors, because I didn't need the condemnation, and the lack of understanding, I have suffered so much. I took my temp and saw that it was sub normal as usual, and began to treat myself. I dispenced with the slattering of anti-biotics, and any kind of tapes I am allergic to, I riped up clean a white sheet. Because I have lost the skin to the red one half was meat, and throw in a few morgies even inhabiting the red. Any way my fingers swollen up like pork sausage, I was in one heck of a mess. I remembered what morph said, and reached for the baking soda for relief. I dont think I am out of the woods yet, but the Good Lord willing, just mabey I 've learned something this time around.
I feel so sorry for your dog, I lost my dearest lovely Buster kitty. He was my friend and I still miss him it was a yr. ago. He suffered so with morgellons, he was skin and bones, when he was put to sleep, and you know what he was purring, he knew I was hanging on dearly. Yes, I knew you were BO, because I am bustercat over there. Thanks guys for letting me ramble.

Hi, Amron
What did you put on your hand to cause it to flare up so? The Baking Soda is a good idea because morgies hate it.
I have had a bad area on my right hand in the crease between my thumb and hand anterior side. It started out looking like swollen blood vein, now there are two. The area was never an open wound or sore though.
I am really sorry to hear about your little kitty, so sad.
My little Pom withdrew from the physical life over a year ago, and now he is gone. He was so thin, too. He was having seizures and difficulty walking. The docs could not help him. When we woke up he was gone.
I still feel his presence tho. Some times I feel his sweet little paw tap my foot or my arm and look around, but he is not there, but I sense his presence.
Amron, I do not consider your post as rambling.
