After what has happened to me suffering Morgellons I can quite understand why we have no guests popping in.
Once you start researching Morgellons and blogging with people who want to debunk it will near on kill you.
People are scared and scared to death.
Our future don't look too bright if we keep this up, and children do not deserve to suffer this hideous disease.
Mary Leitao started this for a reason, I believe a good reason.
I wish you all well and please don't stop the fight for the truth and the treatment you all deserve.

I notice there have been over 10 new members register in the last week, though. That's a good sign(or a bad one depending on which way you look at it).

Aussie,
You need to understand the severe physical and psychological pain that is worsening with this syndrome ok. I am not doing myself a disfavour. This syndrome will send anyone insane ok.
No modern day medicine is working I have suffered the most torturous pain for 4 years and it is still happening, I try to do normal things like house work etc, to then just fall in a heap at the end of the day in terrible pain.
So please understand that when my pain threshold is on complete overload I do become confrontational it is called survival.
Fifth Generation Australian - so you are aboriginal then? To be honest I am not bothered where you are from. But you do not come across as an aussie. It takes one to know one.

Cliff, I was just wondering....... since there are so many new members joining and lots of interesting items being posted, might it be possible to increase the number of "Recent posts" to 30 instead of 15? It's becoming easy to miss a post. Thank you.

I tell you what - when Guests come and read these posts they will be freaking out!
Oh well - best for them to see the many mood swings a Morgie has to put up with.
By the way, in reply to a post someone made - I don't take meds anymore, my shrink said I don't need them.
I just have extremely low iron, my body won't absorb at the moment, taking the iron replacement, will have bloods done sometime soon, and then maybe a gastroscopy to see if internal bleeding is happen.
All fun and games folks.
Take care all x
P.S. Cliff send my regards to ET - he is a real hard boss, isn't he?!!!!

Hi Mindy:
Will do!
But between you and I..... I'm thinking about looking for a new patron!
This time I want to work for someone who plays a keyboard with more than a four tone scale!
However....I'll be sure to pass on your regards.
As a matter of fact...
I'm quite certain that ET will be interested in hearing from you!
In fact...You might want to consider preparing your resume.
All indicators are that he will probably be in the job market once I submit my resignation! LOL!

Why would I bother with a malpractice suite on my psychiatrist???
I don't need meds!
But I sure think you could do with something to "curb" your attitude towards me, don't you think?

I don't know whether to laugh or cry about this snippet from the article:
" North Texas health departments, including Dallas County, have been told to be on the lookout for Morgellons. But so far, News 8 hasn't been able to find a doctor in North Texas who has treated a patient."

That was your typical news report on Morgellons.....Like Thinker said "do you laugh or cry"
It is obvious the reporters don't go out of their way for information...

The typical news reports that are rubber stamped out concern me a great deal. People simply think that we are overstating something when in fact it is the news reports that are understating. Those of us all ready infected know the seriousness of the issue. People don't understand until it happens to them, what a dilema we're in.

I think we've got to keep in mind that people are deathly afraid of things they don't understand and just go into "denial" mode anyway, quite often those who are closest to us are the least supportive, as many have found to their sorrow.
Remember back when "Aids" first showed its ugly head...real alright...but something so far removed, can't happen to anyone we know. Then near the same time, chronic fatigue syndrome started showing up bigtime and all the doctors would say was, "Well, you've obviously caught some kind of virus, but no, all the blood tests have turned up negative so we don't know what it is. By the way...has your relationship broken up recently? Don't you worry about it...it'll most likely go away...but come back next week so we can make some more money from you.... and er, by the way...care for a script for some Valium?" And you went back home relieved the tests had shown you didn't have the dreaded "Aids", because you had the night sweats, your muscles were hurting, you were tired and was sure you were dying.
If Morgellons is actually infectious, rather than all family members being exposed to the same pathogen, and it is officially published in the media by the PTB, imagine the panic. Everyone wearing a long sleeved shirt would be eyed with suspician. Affected people could become like lepers to the rest of the community until undoubtedly the sufferers will outnumber the unaffected. Imagine trying to get treatment....unless they come up with something pretty soon.
Oh dear, this is all getting too awful....sorry, I started this reply. Thank goodness for this forum.
"Beam me up, Scotty!"

Hi Aussie,
I've had this issue we now call Morgellons for between 23 and 25 years now. The sores I get on the outside look like they could be a scraped off pimple. I only had five this time. I wear summer tops because when I get warm it seems to make it worse. I don't wear shorts or sandals though. There is not much scarring left. What is happening to me now is all internal and I am very aware of it. It is like trying to pick out a well person versus a sick person. Some people just hide their illness really well. I have and it was not till this last bout that anyone in the community even had any idea that I was in less than perfect health.
I do have seizures also, mostly I have been home alone when they occur. I had told my husband about them and don't think he thought much of it until I had one when he was home.
It is going to be very strange when others realize what is going on. I think the PTB want to wait so everyone gets real scared. Maybe that is why we are learning this now so we can help to educate others.

Yes, Whiterose, I couldn't agree more about helping to educate others. I find it a wee bit frustrating when we get a new member begging for help in some area, and you know there have been several posts quite a bit previously about that very thing, but they have missed them because they haven't read all the threads. There are so many threads now.
What sort of seizures do you get? What do you do for them? Do you end up in panic attack mode?
It's odd that you should say that you've had this thing for 23-25 years now, because I've read on other sites, stories of other people stating the same approximate time.
Also, although it was 1999 when I developed the first lesion(never looked to see whether there were any fibres until June this year),I believe it was much earlier according to Cliff's description of symptoms, when it really started, 1983 in fact....exactly 23 years ago!
My youngest son was born and the doctor was a bit concerned that baby had an unusually snuffy nose when we were both discharged form hospital. A couple of days later I noticed I had a red, itchy/burny rash around both of my legs just above the ankles which lasted a few weeks but reocurrrred a couple of times later on. Then when baby was about 2 weeks old I got mastitis for no apparent reason(baby was feeding well and I had fed 3 other children with no problems). It probably doesn't sound like much but I feel there is a connection because I was never really well after that and unusually tired. Like you though, I always looked the very picture of health.
I am now wondering what was it that I brought home from hospital? What were the Fat Controllers up to around that time?

Been thinking of doing this a while, and it looks like it's time, before our board becomes huge.
I will make a list of all symptoms we've all talked about and the links to each thread where the remedies are discussed. When it's done, I'll post it for easier reference for newbies and all residents here.
Aussie gave me idea of poll, too. I'll make a symptoms poll so that we can see what most common symptoms are, etc. and how long they've been occurring.
When I'm done, I'll send via personal message to the main players on our board for editing, etc. before posting.
I'd appreciate any comments about this project, including help with thinking of all symptoms to include. If this works, maybe I'll do one regarding housekeeping tips, too.
Please contact me via personal message. Thanks!!!!

Yay....Good on you Thinker, your bloods worth bottling(as my granny used to say)! Te he! But then again....maybe not...is any of OUR blood worth bottling?
Wonder if any recipients of Morgellon's blood donors get sick? Hmmm?
Now then, talking of blood, I've got one for you.
I almost never get a cold and I've never had "hay fever". I think that is because having iron overload disorder protects me. (You know...people take ferrum phosphate[iron cell salt] to help them get over a cold quickly).
A couple of days ago my snozza started to run, but it wasn't like a normal cold, just very intermittent and annoying. This morning I woke up with the urge to blow, and mission accomplished, I looked down at the tissue surprised to find the hugest glob of blood I've ever seen. I never have nose bleeds either.
It came from my left nostril, and(sorry, don't mean to be gross here), I had to explore with finger. A couple of years ago I had what I thought was a staph infection in that nostril and although it cleared up there was what felt like a small growth left. I now believe it was part of the Morgellons thing. But, oh joy....it was gone....felt like a small victory.
Then within half an hour a friend forwarded me a link from STA, "Bloody Nose? How's your weather been?" (11 Oct)
hppt://www.surfingtheapocalypse.net/cgi-bin/forum.cgi?read=154537
Wonder if anybody else has been having anything like this? Cheers.
ps It's so easy to get off the track, isn't it...from "Guests" to bloody noses!

Then we can chat and have some laughs and not interfere with the board. You can always get yourself a hotmail address if you don't want to use your regular email address.

Dear "To aussie Guest"--- Are you sending this information to me or just to members in general?
If it is meant for me , thank you very much for your trouble, but there is nothing anyone could tell me about this subject that I am not already aware of.
It is a pity that the Great Potato Blight occurred in Ireland that altered the genes of many of our ancestors, causing this problem. It didn't happen by accident either.
Cheers.

Aussie:
Could you please tell me a bit about your experience with Hemachromatosis? My family and I have Morgellons, but my son who just turned 16 this June was recenty diagnosed with this disease and I'm anxious to learn all I can about it. We are going to see the doctor next week for Genetic Counseling.
Thanks in advance for your help!
